Kay, I'm kinda bored of arguing for now, so I'm setting up this thread. Someone asks a question (preferrably not a moralistic one, although lack of posts may allow for it) and anyone answers it, either seriously or, I dunno, just taking the piss.

They are willing to accept this higher inflation rate because (I assume) it means that unemployment will be decreasing. Inflation and unemployment are antagonists. If you have high u/e there is low inflation and vice versa. generally.

It may also be that they are unwilling to risk other possible problems. I'm not sure about the US, but one way of controlling inflation is to increase the base interest rate, as it takes revenue out of the economy via 'withdrawals' in the circular flow of income. It also means that businesses suffer from lack of investment and decreased profits, and since the US is very business orientated, it will not be willing to risk a large loss in revenue for any firm. Hence the 3% CPI. The UK is willing to accept anywhere between 1.5% and 3%, or 2.5-3.5 on the old RPI scale

The evolutionist certainly believes that eggs came first: as reptiles had been laying eggs for millions of years before chickens came on the scene. I would guess that Creationists believe the chicken came first a, judging on the basis of Adam's creation, God made the living things of the world in adult form.
