While I am an avid fan of the late 80's metal bands in the US, I find myself thorougly enjoying (and oddly so) a bunch of jpop lately. Almost everything I've heard from the Hello!Project artists has been good to listen to. Thanks to BitTorrent, I've been able to score some of the more recent broadcasts and PVs that aren't available in my area.

I don't care what anyone says. Even when the song isn't top grade, who can't kick back and enjoy a swarm of attractive japanese girls running all over a stage?

(Cut to Genghis Khan's tent. Genghis strides about purposefully. Indian-style background music. Suddenly the music cuts out and Genghis Khan with a squawk throws himself in the air and lands on his back. This happens very suddenly. Judges hold up cards with points on, in the manner of ice skating judges.)

9.1, 9.3, 9.7, that's 28.1 for Genghis Khan.

MOZART: Bad luck Genghis. Nice to have you on the show. And now here are the scores.

I refuse to get into a fight simply for the sake of it...
And I put T(I)NC into it on the basis of seeing them live, when they were amazing. Refused are good, but I wouldn't say they were one of my favourites. Maybe if I saw them live and they were as good as, or better than T(I)NC) then I'd include them.

John Butler Trio - Absolutely brilliant guitarist, soulfull rhythms and is possibly the acoustic rock/alternative I've ever heard.

System Of A Down - How could you not like them with lyrics like these?
I got a gun the other day from sako,
It’s cute, small, fits right in my pocket,
Yeah, right in my pocket, (sugar)
My girl, you know, she lashes out at me sometimes,
And I just kick her, and then she’s o.k. ,she’s o.k.(sugar)
People are always chasing me down,
Trying to push my face to the ground,
Where all they really want to do,
Is suck out my mother fucking brains, my brains (sugar).

The Rasmus - A weird sort of blend. They are kinda pop and kinda alternative. Interesting and pleasing to listen to.

John Lennon - In my opinion the two best Beatles are George Harrison and John Lennon. But I do prefer John Lennon the best for his Bob Dylan style of writing except Lennon can sing.
