Connery, apart from 'Never say never again', which was crap. But "You only live twice" is my personal favourite.

Brosnan had two good films, Golden Eye rules, but the most recent have been rubbish.

Brosnan, but only with an English Accent, his normal accent sounds like he has a stick up his ass and he can't breath..

I haven't watched any 007 movies, recently, but off the top of my head, I'd say Sean Connery was the best with Pierce Brosnan a close second.

Connery, without question.

George Lazenby might have been, though, if he'd been given the chance.

Best Bond is Sean Connery without a shadow of a doubt.

Farrell would be a good Bond.

Best Bond is Connery in 'You Only Live Twice' and 'Thunderball'.

Who would make the best next Bond? Clive Owen.

I'd have to say that Connery gets points for being the original, and besides that he actually did a good job. He is also the coolest crazy old guy out there (and he was guy Peter Jackson originally wanted to play Gandalf, how odd would that have been?) I have naught but amuesment at Connery, as such he is the best.

Then Brosnan, just because he seems so natural in the role.

Moore was OK.

The Italian guy, whatever his name was, must die.

Good question. Both "Moonraker" and "You only live twice" was on TV löast week. Sean Connery was the best Bond ever.

There was Timothy Dalton (hmm, definitely not Italian).

I can only assume you mean the Australian George Lazenby, who was actually very good, but was doomed from the start because he was replacing the original and best (Connery).

Brosnan is the perfect bond. He's a sophistocated good looking older man, but he's also believable as someone who could kick your ass. It almost seems as if Brosnan isn't acting when he's playing Mr. Bond. I'll be really sad to see him go. Goldeneye...sniff... 'twas excellent. The problems with the recent bond movies are not because of brosnan. Casting (denise richards as a nuclear engineer? Honestly. Madonna? Come on) and plot (A bullet slowly making that guy not feel pain? MI-6 ditching bond because he was tortured?) have been downfalls.

Still, he did a great job as an actor and a character in those movies. I don't know. I can't fault him for the producer's changing what made a great bond movie a great bond movie.

Oh, come on, TW. 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' is notable in my mind for being the only Bond Movie where I spent ninety minutes waiting for James Bond to appear, only to realize he was that guy I'd been nodding off to in the movie theatre.

It's taken no less than six viewings for me to make it to the climactic ending, I've always drifted off after 'Bond' has that long chat with Blofeldt - and although they were both nearly killed in that SPECTRE base under the volcano in the previous film, neither of them seem to know each other...

...zzz...

Oh, there's Diana Rigby, as Bond's bride-to-be...

...zzz...

Oh wait, she's dead. Did I miss anything? What? The movie's over? Oh...

Clearly Connery, teh new bonds focus too much on gadgets they made 007 cool but were an extra to a more intellegent action film. also bond has to be British other wise it dosnt work.

The order goes:

Connery
Moore
Brosnan
Lazenby

Dalton

I think Clive Owen would make a good Bond, or Jude Law. There's also talk of Hugh Jackman and Colin Farrell, but supposedly they don't want the role.
Dobbs Town

I like Jude Law, but I think he's a wee bit too pretty. Clive Owen would fit nicely.

As for previous Bonds, I'd rank them just so:

Connery
Brosnan
Dalton

and bringing up the rear,

Moore
...David Niven...

and finally that polyp Lazenby.

yeah, i think they already ran out of shit from the original author who wrote all the bond stories, and as all the new snl can attest, writers suck ass now, you either got shitty shows trying to be good or potty humor sattire ie Family Guy

Timothy Dalton. His portrayal was closest to the way Bond was presented in Flemming's books, in my opinion. Connery is a close second. Worst by far was Moore.

Ewan McGregor might make a good Bond.
The True Right

OHMSS is the closest to Flemings work. Now sure it may have been not as exciting, but it was the truest to his work. Thus it is the best Bond film ever. Bond was portrayed as an actual person (not some superhero as in other pictures) by Lazenby (his first movie role). In all of the novels Bond is not some indestructable man, infact in many books he has to recover for long lengths of time before his next assignments (Man with the Golden Gun, Live and Let Die). The Moore films were more like comic books. Moonraker?? Yeah sure.
