Hi,

Just wondering if there are any games on the market that are pretty much the same as NationStates? Offline PC games I mean.

Civilization 3. There are quite a few, but none of them are on the same scale as NS, obviously.

Civilization ROCKS!!!

I haven't played Civ III much, but I still waste many an hour playing CivII. Just love getting to Alpha Centauri!

Highly recomended!

Speaking of which, the game Alpha Centauri is a great game as well. It is made by Sid Meier, too.

Aye Alpha Centauri is like Civ in the future. All future tecnologies and colonizing Alpha Centauri. The different "civs" in ALpha Centauri are much more ideologically unique than in any of the civ games. You can be hardcore Communist, a Business-State, the UN, Ecological nation, Scientific Research focused , or a more Spartan civilazation. The expansion is definitly worth having as well. PErsonally I'd love to see a sequel using some of the advances seen in Civ 3.

And the religious fanatics. My favorite is the business state

While it's much more of an RTS game than a NS-type game, Rise of Nations is wonderful.

Republic - The Revolution

Game by Edios, very good ideas and interesting concept but horribly programmed and not popular enough for a patch to be released
