Political Correctness:Has It Gone Too Far?

I have heard reports from a friend of mine that as a waitress she can not ask if the recipient wants their coffee to be black. She must ask if they want milk in it or not. Simply because one person gets offended by a name of a colour. Give me a break! If you take away someone's right to say a simple un offensive word then you are taking away a basic human right of expression.
I'm not saying that we should allow nazi like people to walk around the high street shouting "I' gonna kill me a jew" Or something similar. This is too far. I am simply arguing that when a simple descriptive word for a cup of coffee gets offensive.
What are your veiws.

Whoever gets offened by that whole coffee thing needs to pull a stick out of their arse. There are extremist to everything. For example, I'm gay but I piss my self laughing at comedians who use imitation and stuff cause you know when it's just fun. Just as people should know that saying BLACK coffee, doesn't mean poop on a stick. I mean some of the greatest motowns singers have sung that brilliant jazz tune "Black Coffee". It's a friggin word for christ sake. Tell your friend to tell whoever told her that rule to get over it.

You know what's amusing? The black (oh sorry african americans) boys in the back of my bus call each other niggers which is a big no-no at my school, and they don't blink when other people call them that, but if a teacher heard them.. watch out. These WHITE adults, that are all high strung about these things, don't realize that THEY'RE the only ones who even care! who started this entire Pc age anyway? Things were simpler when everyone hated eachother...
Simple: Jews.
Jews and their "civil rights groups" have played a pivotal role in destroying white identity while encouraging it in minorities. They've also done a mighty fine job of brainwashing those uptight white liberals through their widespread control of media and government.
Jews were the sole movers and shakers of changing the immigration laws in America and most European nations (around the 1960s, I believe). We can thank them for the "diversity" we've got today (that is, skyrocketing crime rates, a Mexican invasion in the US with groups like Aztlan talking about reconquesting the southwest from the anglo-europeans, and Muslims doing the same in Europe).
Naturally, Israel has no problem expelling a few thousand immigrants, legal or not, but if America or any other predominately (but not for long) European nation dares to even consider the same, it's a big PC no-no and the Jewish controlled media will pounce. Why such actions on behalf of our kosher "friends?" Also simple: Jews have had a deep seeted hatred of the goyim for ages, and their goal of turning us all into a gooey brown mass of mixed races (ie, destroying white people, their only serious competition in this very unequal world) while they maintain their ethnic heritage is closer than ever.
How's that for PC? Anyway, if you haven't been scared off by the thought police, you can start reading more facts here:

political correctness has been totally misconstrued, so all the straight white people can complain about being "forced" to use certain terms, as though the forces of Tolerant Liberal Absolutism were really in danger of taking over the country.
Political correctness was initially supposed to be about referring to people on their own terms, about using terms that made marginalized people feel safer.
this whole "we can't say ____ anymore! it's gone too far" thing is a caricature of the whole issue, which started when the first Bush turned "politically correct" into a negative term. people have been ranking on "PC" for going on 20 years now. it's long since ceased to be clever or relevant.
at this point, making fun of the idea of "being PC" only serves to squash any discussion of how groups of people are still marginalized and oppressed, structurally, and by attitudes reflected in language. because if "They" "aren't letting you" use certain words any more, then obviously "they" can't be oppressed, because they're oppressing YOU!
but if your definition of oppression is having your use of outdated and prejudiced language frowned upon, then you need to pay more attention.
and personally, i suspect that the coffee story is total bullshit.
but obviously i'm just a PC fascist.
and for illustration of my point, see the above post.

Fascist? Nonsense. I didn't mention fascism or any political system. I saw a question which was asked, and I felt compelled to answer.
It's not a big secret that organized Jewry has played a pivotal role in turning America into the PC hell we have today (well, it shouldn't be).
The term "political correctness" was actually coined by Marxist Jews back in the 1920s or so. Basically, anyone who had thoughts which weren't "politically correct" was sent to the gulag and worked to death. Some 20 million Russians died under Jewish bolshevism in this way.
http://www.academia.org/lectures/lind1.html
"The members of the Frankfurt School are Marxist, they are also, to a man, Jewish."
It's also no secret (or, once again, shouldn't be) that the leaders of early Marxist Russia were almost all Jews. Marxism was simply a political movement the Jews used to take over Russia and execute all the ruling elites along with the Tsar. Winston Churchill wrote an essay about it, titled "Zionism versus Bolshevism."
As the Jews did in Russia in the 1920s, they are doing in America and Europe TODAY. They are the people who are responsible for the Orwellian PC hellhole we experience daily.
"Similarly, white males are determined automatically to be evil, thereby becoming the equivalent of the bourgeoisie in economic Marxism."

"Fascism:
political philosophy or movement that places the nation or the race above the individual and that stands for highly centralized government led by a dictator; belief in militarism, racism, and nationalism; opposition to democracy and human rights."
Where the nation/political system he speaks of in what he says? Everyone beleives just because the jews were persecuted by Nazi's (fascists) that everyone who says a bad word about a jew is a fascist. In fact its Anti-semenism (i think) not fascism if you dont like jews. Jew hating was adoppted by german fascists it is NOT the basis of fascism to persecute jews.

Since when is the only way to use the word "black" when you are describing race? This is just ridiculous. Being offended by the term "black" coffee would be the same as getting offended when someone asked you whether you wanted to buy the "black" or "white" shirt. except antisemitism is a form of racism, so that's a silly argument.
and for the record, he (and i'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume the nazi's a boy) didn't say "a bad word about a jew" he said that Jews behave in a collective fashion with the goal of destroying white people and encouraging race mixing.

Fascism was in fact the Italian version of the same politcal ideology as Nazism which was the German equivalent. The two are the same ideology of racial identity, corporate statism and control through oppression.
Socialism advocates the creation of a mixed economy, mainly capitalist but controlled and regulated to prevent the worst behavour with a social security net and health care/education. Communism advocates the shift to a non competitive economy with the ultimate aim being the dissapearance of centralised government.

I agree with a lot of the sentiment here it has gone overboard
My personal pet peeve is the “language” wandering that happens … as long as there are humans any term can be turned into an insult
For example retarded
Because of insult connotations retarded has changed from
Retarded -> handicapped -> special -> specialy-abled -> differently abled
Really where is to wander too next … don’t people realize that changing the word without changing peoples level of civility wont do the trick. Anything can be turned into an insult if the person speaking decided to put it in such context. We have to realize this is an adult world … be civil … be fair. But don’t fuck around with language just to spare someone … it is the attitudes that need changing not word choice

I don't agree with using derogatory terms because someone is a particular race/religion/size/sex/whatever, but this is ridiculous! you can also take native to mean 'originating from'...but then that's just splitting hairs.
Things like that don't annoy me as much - they want to be linked to their heritage in their own way...fair enough.
But the rest of the stuff is totally stupid...like not being able to say black coffee! Black is primarily a color...like magenta or pink! To 99.99% of the population, calling someone 'black' is just a term, with no malicious intent at all...it's just like calling someone 'white'. Infact, it seems to be the 'blacks' who refer to 'colours' of people more than the rest...crazy stuff.

Because of insult connotations retarded has changed from

The way I figure it, you're disabled if you have no legs and have to rely on a wheelchair.
You're differently abled if you have no legs but you can fly.
But I agree thatwhenever enough people think that something is bad then whatever word you use to mean that thing will be taken as something bad.
The word kike is generally thought to have come from the Yiddish word for circle and Jews would call eachother this because they refused to use an 'X' to sign their name if they couldn't read. They thought that the 'X' was a symbol of bad luck, so they used a circle instead and ended up calling eachother kikellas sp? (little circle people).
That very affectionate term is now the worst thing you can call a Jew because people who didn't like Jews used it.
There was even a highschool punk band that got in trouble for saying "oi" (a british slang call for attention based on the latin for listen, but also a yiddish exclamation) because two jewish people in the audience took offence. Even if they did mean it as the yiddish exclamation, how would it have been anti-semetic? Probably in a climate of anti-semetism any reference to jews will be taken negativly, but that's negative mind-reading. That breaks up marriages, strangers aren't entitled to try it with eachother.

I get annoyed with American Indians wanting to be called Native Americans. By definition, I'm a native to America because I was born here. If we're to call people something, make up something that is logical.
Also, blacks wanting to be called African Americans. I sit next to a guy who was born in Somolia and now is a US citizen..that's an African American. I'll call you whatever you want to be called as long as it's logical
You know, they don't generally call themselves "Native Americans". "Native Americans" is something us white people came up with.

Native american was given to them by the political correctness upseters. No doubt they will rather be known by their clans/bands what have you. They were basically different nations, only they were nomadic. Calling them Native americans would be like calling us brits, Native Europeans, even thouh it would be more suiting for us to be known as British.
It is only when writing about all native americans that I use that term, simply because it is easier, and they share similar culturers to one another.

The way I figure it, you're disabled if you have no legs and have to rely on a wheelchair.
You're differently abled if you have no legs but you can fly.
