Episode III? ... I don't know, I've been hurt before. I just ... I just don't know if I'm ready for that kind of relationship with a Star Wars movie right now. I need time to heal.

Has anyone noticed that:
1) Han says "I'll see you in hell!" in ESB when the commander says "Your Taun-taun will freeze before you get to the first marker!" So does that mean that Christianity is exsistent in Star Wars?

Actually, they speak in Basic, but the whole saga is translated. Now, why do they have Christianity?

How about answering why Luke is referred to as a human when it's supposed to be a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away.

Then why did they not translate the whole movie? Some of the non-humans did not speak english.

They probably evolved much faster than us.
Or maybe they started evolving before us. Or maybe human life on earth started as a hidden rebel base a long long time ago ;)
that could also be why we speak basic (english) and they brought the christianty with them to. we have just forgoten our true roots. :D

They don't. 'Hell' is a translation of the word they use in Han's belief system to describe the place where 'bad people' go when they die. :)

Well, I found this, and I couldn't find the rest of the first seven minutes.
Here it is, the first small portion of the Revenge of the Sith.
[Highlight to read]
Palpatine had been kidnapped.
The screen cuts to a planet we all recognize a Coruscant, very quietly a star ship begins to come into view. There is almost no sound except for the engines of the ship. We follow this in until it fills the entire screen and slowly we rotate "underneath", between the ship and the planet. Once we get here the noise starts in and we get our first view of the battle in progress.
The camera follows in Anakin and Obi-wan's Jedi fighters. However, you can plainly see that Anakin has modified his. The front part of his cockpit has been replaced with a view window that looks like a Tie-Fighter. He and Obi-wan then spend the next 5 minutes in a desperate attempt to get to the ship holding Palpatine.
Why do they speak English and Han Solo refer to hell?
Because it was made in 1970's Earth. Sometimes, you take it too far.

No I think he was referring to a StarWars hell. Like episodes one and two. Don't get me wrong Ilove StarWars. It is one of my favorites but those are not StarWars.

Episodes I and II were awesome. I hate when people don't accept that it's different because it's set in a MUCH MUCH different time.

What has me twitching is that Disney made it. Which isn't a BAD thing in and of itself. But it could be.
I mean, look at Pirates of the Caribbean. Great movie.
But if it's 'Toy Story', I'm gonna be disappointed.

Not all that differnet of a time. It is not so much the story inconsitencies that bother me (although they do) and the other stuff. They seem to be special effect showboats. There is simply not as much substance, and some extremely poor acting. "It's working, it's working." They are also not as well written or directed.
Although despite all of this I still plan to wait in line for ever a day to get a ticket and again to get a good seat, just like I did for the other two.

I have all 5, the books by Anderson and know a heck of a lot about it. I am also at university idiot. I just have this enormous feeling that the next film is going to stink.

I didn't like EpI, but I can only say I didn't like EpII in relation to IV-VI. On it's own it's an all right movie, but as Star Wars? I don't know. I can understand people who *did* like them though, and I have no problem with I & II. Even if the time difference isn't as great as it *should* be. (Am I the only one who is now confused when Han Solo says "I've flown from one end of the Galaxy to the other, and seen a lot of strange stuff, but nothing to make me believe in some all-powerful energy field controlling everything" Does he now have amnesia? ;) )
What I do have trouble with is ... oh, I don't even know how to phrase what it is that was done. Anakin should never have died! He was about to come to a new understanding of the unifying force! Heros can die in real life, it sucks but that's LIFE, but not in Star Wars! NOT IN STAR WARS
... if anyone needs me, I'll be crying myself to sleep in a corner. :(
Frasha-masha SFT makin' me do stuff I don't wanna'!
Yah' well the star wars trailer looks interesting because it's more like the old ones.Wookies, Darth vader, one of the ships even looked like the one from the first scene of "A new hope". Thats got me excited, hope its better than the first 2 though. Sure graphically their good but I just could'nt get into them as much as the previous ones.(Pointless smiley: :fluffle:

No doubt, everyone knows the original trilogy is amazingly better than the prequels, but I think Ep. III is going to change everyone's perspective on Star Wars. (i.e. My current favorite character is Boba Fett, however, after being active in the SW community for the past many, many months and my favorite is beginning to switch to Gen. Grievous. After ROTS, I think he may be my favorite.) :sniper: :sniper:
PS) What'd you think of that script snippet, everyone?

Nope, Disney didn't actually make it, they're just releasing it/paying for it/reaping a profit. They weren't even going to release it under a disney label (They were going to release it as a touchstone picture) until a recent re-evaluation.

After seeing the trailer, I am enticed to want to go and see it.
The one thing I have my qualms about is the great deal of CG animation in the trailer - CG was never appealing to me (or at least in what sci-fi anime I watch); I just hope the amount of it isn't over-the-top.
