As many people realize, the next four years aren't going to be pretty. I'd just like to hear people's thoughts about this article.

With the amount of money we (USA) has been throwing around, this doesn't seem too far-fetched.

Yeah, seriously.

On the same note, plenty of people have affairs each day. This just shows how impersonal the media makes us.

Agreed. To this day I don't really give a crap what a guy does in the bedroom so long as he runs the country somewhat well.

Clinton had a lot of financial and abuse of power scandals under his belt, some which would make Nixon blush. Lets glorify him anyway due to the IT bubble though!

America isnt going to experience a great depression, since it is currently overspending, and once this is cut things should stabilize drastically. The way it will prevent losing the advantages it has now is unintentional sabotage of competitors. The falling dollar is already doing enough as foreign investment has suddenly greatly fell in actual value and foreign companies who invested a great deal in the US are seeing major reduction in returns.

Also, unavoidable withdrawal of US military forces will force other nations to take responsibility for their own defense, reducing their competitive advantage, which is ironic, since this will benefit the US people while fullfilling one of the best known terrorist objectives.

US wages will have to drop soon too, and the Republicans have plans to enact a flat tax soon which will reduce the effectiveness of pyramidal organization and outsourcing, as well as drastically increase the amount of money available since corporations will no longer have a tax haven in the US, and will either give up gigantic sums of money or move their headquarters to areas where labor is more expensive.

To top everything off, the Chinese are desperately trying to curtail buying on margin and illegal borrowing in their nation, and social equality is increasing due to irresponsible policies and overoptomism. If this goes bad, India will fullfill its role and become far more prosperous than it is now, which will have obvious consequences in certain life-quality aspects.
