US-Centric? I see the dates listed, but they don't tell me much of anything. Anything much lined up? The place was utterly empty, devoid of all life...I can't tell from that if its worth worrying about, you know?

Oh hell yeah. I have few delusions about my geekhood. I figure I'm about 10 D&D games away from being a geek god (I have the curly hair and everything...oh right, geek, not greek).
I embrace my geekiness with wholehearted joy, quoting geek movies, playing geek video games, reading books that no one in their right mind reads, so geeky are they. I watch the history channel and read the economist because I find them FUN, I read books about old kingdoms and talk politics with my friends as we play games about ancient china, that I know way too much about!
That aside...I have a history degree, with polisci as one of my minors. So for me its half hobby-half research. So, my interest in both msg boards could be considered professional.
