I'm just wondering what people out there are thankful for this Thanksgiving. You don't have to be American to respond; I'm sure people in other countries have things to be thankful for as well. :)

Lots of things, family and friends (of course). But big time thankful for my country, I am from New Zealand, and I am thankful that it is a safe country with very little threats, esp. with what is going on in the world today.

I am thankful that I still have a house I can live in after Hurricane Charley, when most of my neighbors were left homeless.

I am thankful for my friends and family whose thoughts, prayers and help got me through it.

I'm thankful for:

Flowers, cocktail dresses, my family and friends, colouring books, my pets, not being an American citizen, cell phones, handbags/purses, penguins, the life I have had, ballet, the things I have accomplished, love, that I never have to actually consider Bush my President, raspberry limeades, pudding, citrus fruits, SeaMonkey's, stiletto heels, for being a vegan and anything and everything that make me happy, and make my family/friends happy.

I just got the most disgusted expression on my face at the mention of that.

Apaprently not.

My grandpa had just gotten open heart surgery, so his doctor told him to become a veggie saurus, so my grandpa took on the task with amazing zeal.

He gave up on the task shortly after Thanksgiving...

Yeah, but now we have to deal with him. Hijacks the bloody media for a whole week. At least he probably won't step 100 feet from his plane.

Oh...I'm thankful for... my family and dear friends. As troubled as we all may be, at least we're able to speak honestly to one another.

And despite my frustration with Bush's coming here. As a Red Cross Volunteer, I am thankful for the memories of hope and kindness I have of that painful day when so many people in Halifax worked to help the thousands of those who became stranded here.

Edited because I hit save too soon - and hey, first post!

I'm thankful that I live in Australia, it's a wonderful country, I have many opportunities that I wouldn't have if I'd have been born elsewhere, and I only have to endure one family holiday in the November-December period!

Is nothing sacred to the vegitarians?!?!?!?!
I'm a vegetarian, and I'm just as disgusted by that idea as you are; tofu can stand on its own merits without being disguised as meat!

I have seen this before on this really funny cartoon thing on the same site as the Badger Badger Badger cartoon. But I am not thankful for these things in particular(except for Russians). I am thankful for Nationstates and for these forums where I spend my time arguing, debating and having fun like what the forums where created for.

Huzzuh Huzzuh to the great Sunshining!! :fluffle:
