Clicky! (http://www.talktofrank.com/tribes/quiz.aspx)

A quiz for people who want to find out how they are pidgeon holed by this faction of the Anti-Drug Brigade.

And yes I know this is seriously flawed. With a quasi-Manichaean view that groups are homogenous.

btw. I got Mosher

The misunderstood teen of 1990s American movies, the Mosher’s style is ruled by comfort and a faded band tour t-shirt. Moshers dream of achieving recognition with their own bands and are often out looking for tips, lyrics and cheap second-hand amps.

Hmm not ruled by comfort, don't wear 'faded band tour t-shirts', and don't dream of being in a band and have never bothered writing lyrics or looking for amps

Speciality:
Can withstand exposure to loud noise without going deaf.

Really depends on the type of music.

Traits:
Long hair. Like to wake up after noon.

Don't have long hair, hate wasting the morning.

I explored the site, got to page about giving up smoking where it says "Every smoker has particular times of the day, or particular situations when they have a cigarette or joint. It may be when you are stressed, after a meal or when you are with a particular group of friends." I bolded that part because that is when I most feel like a fag. However, it goes on to say "Be aware of the kinds of triggers that you are prone to so that you can avoid those situations."

Obviously I should starve myself then :D

I really should try and get some sleep.

Me, I'm a:

All about the tribe
Geeks are the smartest tribe. Surprisingly there is a group of geeks that have never used a computer before. Unfortunately they’re all dead, having lived before computers were invented. All modern geeks have some exposure to computers. If you don't know what a computer is, you are not a geek.

Speciality:
Ability to absorb vast amounts of knowledge instantly.

Traits:
Incredibly smart and bound to become rich one day. Ask Bill Gates.

Aspiring to be the captain of any team the Sporty leads an active lifestyle. Fashion is the latest tracksuit, or anything that will draw attention to their perfectly sculpted bodies. Sporties are also fanatical about what they put into their mouths. To the Sporty dinner is not an art it’s a science.

Speciality:
Able to run great distances without gasping for air.

Traits:
Extremely energetic. Well toned. Fast.
Los Banditos

Indie:
In a league of their own, Indies strive to be cooler that everyone else. An extensive, hard to track down, one of a kind vinyl record collection that features little or no well-known bands is a must to become a member of this hipster social circle. As soon as a band becomes popular, Indies will accuse them of selling out.

Speciality:
Can name over 2000 bands you won’t have heard of.

Traits:
Independent from birth. Slightly snobbish. Unique taste in music.

I am, of course, the geek. Not surprising.

This'd be me: (minus the piercings, and I prefer a pentacle over an ankh)

Goth

The Goth has hardly changed since 16th century Transylvania. Black leather, make-up and piercings galore are the order of the day regardless of gender. Chains with ankhs (those crosses with the circles on top) are also a must. Contrary to popular belief Marilyn Manson is not a Goth, he’s just weird.

Speciality:
Spell casting dance moves.

Traits:
Always wear black. Would be vampires if they could.

I took it twice, and I got Indie (http://www.talktofrank.com/tribes/profile.aspx?ProfileId=51) both times, although I don't fully agree with it (I've never once said a band has sold out, and I can't name all the bands you've never heard of)

I answered Midnight Movies for the coolest Indie band, I think the quiz was about right.

SPORTY wtf??

I am sure this mayby is a suitable text for those who really are like this.. but I cannot see myself in this text.

Aspiring to be the captain of any team the Sporty leads an active lifestyle.

Aspiring always to make headway and don't lead a active life

Fashion is the latest tracksuit,

Fashion is usually a word that I try to look for but never understand what it really is.

or anything that will draw attention to their perfectly sculpted bodies.

Yes, of course. My "perfectly" sculped body would never win any awards.. sad really.. people can't appreciate arts created like me.

Sporties are also fanatical about what they put into their mouths. To the Sporty dinner is not an art it’s a science.

Err.. yes, a science in fat. You cannot imagine how many seconds it takes for me to choose the latest pizza or hamburger.

Speciality:
Able to run great distances without gasping for air.

Of course I do. I run for a couple of meters then I fall down struggeling for air not gasping for it.

Traits:
Extremely energetic.

Behind a comp yes. True.

Well toned. Fast.

I would say its a "well toned" figure that is going fast up in weight.

Haha i was suprised to find cradle of filth as a choice. I love cradle.

And i'm a mosher which is kinda boring.

I couldn't decide on whether to "play guitar" or "play computer games", so I did the test twice. It labels me as either "Indie" or "Geek" respectively.

Fun.

I took the test twice, changing my answers on the ones I had no idea about (bands/brands). Got Geek both times though. I guess that fits.

Scally:
Scallies are the hard nuts of all of the tribes. Cars, babes and stereos define their world. Like their closest relatives, the Townies, Scallies also wear lots of sports clothes, often Adidas or Nike, and tend to hang out on streets drinking cider and listening to dance music.

Speciality:
Can fix and drive any automobile ever built.

Traits:
Tracksuits. Hoopy gold earrings. Obsessed with cars.

So apparently im a scally, or as there known down here in London, a chav.

Close actually. I havent been one since i got into the right-wing scene, but back when i was a teenager, being a chav was a bit of a laugh... :D

Geek power!

I put EnMass(a techno group thing) as the best Geek band(i liketh their techno.

Of course, im the only person in the universe who likes techno...)

I am also a "geek".

However I will punch anyone who calls me that to my face.

Took the test twice, got Indie once and Goth once. Not too far from accurate, except I wouldn't class the music I listen to as "Indie" (though no one has heard of it most of the time) and I don't accuse bands of selling out if they get popular on their own. I don't have any piercings but do dress in all black.

I said "Tvangeste" when it asked for best band.
FireClan

I got "geek." It was the best fitting one for me, but none of them really...did...fit....

Mosher.

Its fairly accurate - i can withstand loud music cos ive already got tinitus, i loooove waking up after noon (i hate mornings and waking up; unfortuantley not much chance of wakin up late at the mo :( ), long hair, yes. the rest, kinda true.

But I think im more of a stoner than a mosher ;)

I'm a sporty. Whatever.

Aspiring to be the captain of any team

Nope.

the Sporty leads an active lifestyle.

Yes.

Fashion is the latest tracksuit, or anything that will draw attention to their perfectly sculpted bodies.

Hell no.

Sporties are also fanatical about what they put into their mouths. To the Sporty dinner is not an art it’s a science.

Sort of.

I think due to the nature of the site they wouldn't have that 'tribe'

I got Indie...way off, but whatever. However, Mosher fits the description of a person I know perfectly...heh. I'd say the closest for me would be geek...but I find self-evaluation to be subject to far too much bias.

I was never brand-conscious even when I WAS a teen...this quiz didn't leave me feeling old and out of touch, though I can see how it might have that effect on others.
