Why is it that with the lowest number of acts of terror against UK citizens for decades do we need all these new laws and identitiy cards.
We never needed them when the IRA were out murdering Englishmen for being having the gaul to sit in a pub and drink.

As this Government, who cannot remember what its like, or have simply never lived in the real world; think that they know what is best without consulting the public on what they want and while ignoring the expert advice they are given time and again. All evidence and advice points to this being a waste of money and the chances of stopping a determined attack (that may never come) being minimal. However what do people who have studied and trained in a subject for decades know?

Nothing worth listening to apparantly.
