Going senile?

I think I am. Yesterday I was making a cup o' coffee, alas the open carton of milk in the fridge did not contain enough fluid to suficiently suplement my dilute of bean drink, I therefore had to open a second carton. When it came to tidy up, without thinking, I put the empty carton back in the fridge, and the fresh carton in the bin. This is nothing new. I used to work as a waiter and when clearing plates in the kitchen we had to scrape leftovers into a bin, and put cutlery into a bucket. Many were the times where the kitchen porter wouild find half eaten chicken breasts in with the cutlery, and a plethora of forks in with the trash.
In a further developement when getting on a bus/train, I now usually ask for a ticket to my current location, as opposed to my intended destination.

I'm twenty-two years of age, can't instictively tell left from right, have trouble reading analog clocks, cannot add 3 to 5, or 4 to 7 without pausing for a while. Am I going senile, or am I just a bit simple? Anyone else have similar problems? Let this thread be a monument to incidental confusion and stupidity!!!

I once couldn't find my purse so I spent an hour shouting and swearing at myself calling myself every name under the sun before giving up and going to make a cup of tea, when i went in the fridge to get the milk, there was my purse in the fridge

You could be mildly dyslexic or suffer from some mental distress.

Probably could be alzheimers. Yes, it does happen to young people. Don't know why though. Better go check on your doctor if it's that serious.

Or cut down on the heavy drinking, and take some brain food like cod-liver-oil.

I can't normally remember my age without doing the math in my head.

I thought dyslexia was something to do with writting? People have speculated that I may be dyslexic before: I'm right-handed but write with all the characteristic of a left-handed person, also I sometimes begin writting words half way through the word and then fill in the begining last.
Hmmm maybe I should check this out, or I could ignore it and live in blissful ignorance.

It all sounds pretty normal to me ;) Last months it happened to me three times that i bought something, forgot all about it, left it rot away in the fridge and bought a new one. Like when i left a bottle of sandwich spread in the fridge for months upon months. All the time i thought it belonged to a flatmate. Looks pretty interesting after such a period, i counted 4 types of fungus :D
