My new source of entertainment...

Chodolo

Posting on conservative blogs. It started out as a source of amusement, but then I figured I could learn something from them...see how they think, know thy enemy and all that.

And I've come to the conclusion that they're a bunch of arrogant, hateful, pricks with no knowledge of the Constitution beyond "abortion and gay marriage aren't in there", dangerous on foreign policy, ambivalent about civil liberties, clueless about taxes and programs, have an unnatural fetish with the military, and are Christian fascists, to top it off.

But that's just my slightly biased opinion.

I'm currently shouting it out at blogsforbush.org. They seem to have a large group of amazingly stereotypical neo-conservative moral authoritarians.

My current spat: http://www.blogsforbush.com/mt/archives/003010.html

I'm arguing as a libertarian, just to see how they respond to that fairly large group of neither left nor right. The responses have ranged from "anarchists" to "lunatics", etc. They really have no understanding of politics at all beyond what they've been fed.

And I post under the name Skaje, for no real reason.

As for this thread, do any other liberals like to post on conservative sites (or vice versa)? Just for laughs.

Why are they so obsessed with the idea that you're obsessed with condoms?

You silly donk.

I have never heard the phrase donk before.

And boy what do they know about trolls. Apparently they have never been on nationstates.

I say we through Neo Alansyism at them.

I keep reading and the insults keep coming.

I take it that any liberal posting on that website is considered a troll, am I right?

Sheesh. So much hot air I could blow-dry my hair looking at that blog.

So, what IS a 'donk' supposed to be, anyway?

Democrat, their symbol is the donkey.

Republicans are very good at coming up with silly sounding nicknames. All we got is neocons, and that was originally used to describe democrats.

I guess that's make the Republicans 'elves'...Elephants, elephs...elfs...elves!

Drat those pesky elves. With their pointy ears and sense of entitlement. Never trust an elf!

Calling all of those "real men" on that blog elves would really piss 'em off. I like it.

I used to post on christian forums and especially in chirstian chat rooms for quite some time.

I eventually learned that they just cant be reasoned with.

When I labeled myself a conservative I went to liberal message boards. When I labeled myself a liberal(libertarian) I went to conservative msg boards. Now I don't label myself anything and I just go to this msg board.

I used to post on Matt Margolis' blog, but it just got sickening after a bit.

I post on here just for laughs. I think this counts as a liberal site. I don't really count as a conservative, though.

I'm Just someone who's "come to the conclusion that they're a bunch of arrogant, hateful, pricks with no knowledge of the Constitution beyond "abortion and gay marriage aren't in there", dangerous on foreign policy, ambivalent about civil liberties, clueless about taxes and programs, have an unnatural fetish with the military, and are Christian fascists, to top it off."

I'm so balanced and fair. Geez. I should marry me.

Looks like they outted you, Cho.

Cool that they posted a link to the NS forums, though. :) I bet we'll get a rash of necon nut-jobs in here soon enough.

The fun never ends!

I doubt my comment will get approved, so I'll put it here for all the NS folks to see:

"What might start to help them is actually spend time around average people, opposed to the high end french eateries, go out small town football games, get some small town values, it won't be easy for them. They basically need to live and experience the real real American lifestyle."

Well that's odd. I was born in a town of less than 800 people in NE Texas, grew up there among my farming family, served in the US Army (Ranger), got my own award winning chili recipe, and can two-step better than most.

Bush grew up with limos, maids, big houses, affluent parents and friends, and I've shaken his hand when he was Governor of my fine state and he'd clearly never done a solid day's work in his life - hands smooth as a baby's butt and he smelled of high quality skin cream.

Yet ... I am a tree-hugging, nature loving, live off the land, socialist, gun hating, Kucinich supporter.

Simply astounding, ain't it? Small town values? I'm pretty sure I got 'em. How about Willie Nelson or Garrison Keillor? Good down-home Democrats the both of them.

Go ahead and call me a "donk troll", but it's clear to me that you don't even know who the true Democrats are.

The best comment on that page is where Chodolo says that we should support the good ideas not the political idealogies and the guy responds with "we voted and our side won" completely ignoring while at the same time proving Chodolo's argument.

On another point I was going to use an abreviated nickname for Chodolo just for brevity's sake, and all I could come up with was Chode. I wasn't sure it was appropriate.

You found an exceptionally dumb comment and shot it down well. This individual apparently thinks there are more than 40 million elitists snobs who have no idea what average people are like.

And apparently average people live in small towns and watch football.

That's the idea. :p

My name is actually a play off "chode" and "dolo", a Hawaiian slang for dick. Sounded clever at the time.

In any case I've been gone a bit, missed all the fun and games.

Strange, their definition of a "troll".

Hmm...they're now moderating my comments, although I signed in with the TypeKey and it says on the site that TypeKey users are unmoderated. Guess they can't handle a little bit of dissent. (Notice that I never even insulted a single one of them. All I offered was differing opinions in a reasonable manner, and I'm a "troll".)

Oh well. There's other blogs to run through.

Yeah, at Matt's every single one of my posts that had a link to prove what I was saying was deleted. Good luck finding one that lets you stay :p

Don't bother doing so. Neocons are annoying though. So are some liberals. That's why I stay on in the Libertarian/Democrat line. But I have gone to Christian Singles chat in AIM and intolerantly harassed some people there. :)
