Are you kidding! My keyboard would melt. The Annan UN is a joke; the NS UN is a clone, that is overpopulated with Supreme-Extraterrestrial-0IQ-Gametes.

They did OK in their beginning. Pretty weak lately (the last 20 years). Their hero was Arafart.

The problem with the UN is that its sanctions on iraq were too damned effective in ending hussein's atomic and WMD programs and it made george bush jr look like a crooked lying ass because of his raison de guerre.

Was it the UN "sanctions" (whatever that means), or the US "we are coming in to check".

According to the Duelfer report it was the sactions.

You can read that at a website:

Cool. I bet that pisses off some Christians. However, many eastern religions believe in re-incarnation. So that snail might be your old dead husband. We would be oppressing their religious beliefs to deny that widow to marry her husband's soul in that snail. Just a random idea.

No, they're probably busy taking care of troublemakers, as is their job.

Why do you think that happened?

What are you asking exactly? Why did they vote Republican? Uh, because they've been brainwashed by their parents and grandparents into thinking that this Christian Conservative hellhole I currently reside in is the only line of thinking that's right for America... I don't know, that's just a guess. ;)

Not if I have anything to do about it. Seriously, I don't know, it all depends on the political tide in 2008, how the next four years go, and what the Democratic Party does to restructure and redefine itself. No ticket is going to fix the Democratic Party, even in 2008.

What H---hole do you "currently reside in" and where is a better place for you to be?

Lancaster, PA: The Christian Conservative capital of the US of A.

I used to live in San Diego, CA, my parents moved here to retire 3 1/2 years ago, and I now stay of my own free will because my father is very ill.

3) Good Question. Thanks. (By the way, I've never seen anyone else say thanks.)

I did, I think. On this thread we should (at least) discuss the success and/or failures of the UN. Specifics are preferred. If NS UN Mods want to enter this site, and defend their positions, it is up to them. Meanwhile, we can continue our discussion, and invite the UN NS Mods to return, if they wish.

There are many problems with the UN, as someone said, their last 20 years weren't the best, but then again it's to be expected. The League of Nations suffered a similiar thing, were nothing was getting done and it was liquidated. This UN is bound to go the same way, and then you know what? Another will take it its place.

The UN has no power, and the Security Council is a joke because of the "veto".
Utonium
22-11-2004, 15:45
The problem with the UN, in my view, is that sovereign nations tend to be self-interested and corrupt. Plus, they each have their own army. It's like the US Congress would be if, say, the Missouri National Guard invaded Illinois. There's no way to keep the wack-jobs of the world in line (Bush and Sharon included).
