Eh, that depends on the religion thread. There've been one or two that have stayed remarkably civil-- pardon me for asking, but isn't it slightly self-referential to have a thread about religion threads?

I had to poke this thread with a 12 foot stick. Ten feet just wasn't enough.
I like discussing religious trends, but I'm not especially in the mood to argue the existence or not of a god or gods.

yeah, I probably should have titled this thread better...
Religious trend threads are better than these "hypocrisy" threads and such.
religion makes for good discussion, but some people are so self-rightous about it. I personally think religions are very interesting, but sometimes it's just not worth getting into it because people end up getting mad at each other. kind of like the crusades... :mp5:
So then, this is the official "NOT Discussing Religion Thread"?
Why do I have the feeling that a Monty Python sketch is just around the corner?
Can we be the cool :cool: thread that talks about religion for the sake of curiosity about how others view the cosmos?
