The Washington Post is reporting that Secretary of State Colin Powell relied on a single, unvetted source when he claimed Wednesday that he had new evidence thast Iran was developing a nuclear weapon. The report was entirely based on information provided by a source who approached US intelligence with 1,000 pages of documents that purportedly showed nuclear weapons drawings. One governmental official told the Washington Post that the CIA remains unsure about the authenticity of the documents and how they came into the informant's possession. Powell's comments came in direct contradiction to findings by the United Nations. The International Atomic Energy Association announced earlier this week it had seen no evidence that Iran was developing a nuclear weapons program.

If Iran isnt producing WMD, then why did nations in Europe have to strike a deal with them to hault nuclear production on a certain date, for a period of time. The deal was struck to have them produce only nuclear energy

And the lie is? Powell saying that he had new evidence, when he has new evidence? This is the lie: "I have seen intelligence which would corroborate what this dissident group is saying, and it should be of concern to all parties"? Are you saying that Powell has not seen the evidence and was lying about having seen it? Or are you saying that just because it is from a single source that no one should be concerned about it? Can you show me the lie please, i just don't see it.

Colin Powell has a history of carrying Bushs lies (which is why he lost all credability serving in this administration)-Powell was the one who lied about WMDs in Iraq in that bogus plagiarized 12 year old speech he gave before the UN. His word is shit.
