This is the new, low environmental impact, Hummer. As some would say, "WAY kewl!" :)

I love the quote " Why replace the Humvee? First of all, the Shadow RST-V can run circles around the Humvee, and go undetected while doing so. "

Yeah, now, look, this is what's wrong with the American military at the moment. They are convinced that technology is the answer to everything and are content to describe somethings as undetectable. I'd believe that if it had a Klingon cloaking device, but ain't these people ever heard of eyeballs? Sure, it might be hard to spot on radar or thermal imagining - it may even be quieter, but you can sure see it and ground sensors will pick up its vibrations.

So thats the cardboard version, will the real version be as economical as well? Cardboard is very economical, but unless its armoured cardboard, it probably isn't very strong.

Back in the day the term "hummer" had a very different meaning than it does today. I still remember doing a double take when I saw a newspaper article asking, "Would Jesus Get a Hummer?"

You're behind the curve, the DOD has been working on this technology for a decade. Not just for HumVee's but for larger fighting vehicles also.

The fact that they're silent when using the electric motors drives the research more than any other aspect. It's an extension of stealth technology. The 'green' aspect is just a bonus that makes good press.

I like it. But I won't buy one unless it turns into a robot.

Oh hell, even I would buy one then, and I hate hummers.
