Out of Control

Seriously, I thought the freedom fry thing died out-apparently it's embers still glow in some corners....

I peruse eBay for cheap choppers (because I'm a poser, I'm not afraid to admit it) and ran across this dude's chopper (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4504507947&category=6703) which had the following condition of sale:
NO SALES TO FRANCE, GERMANY OR ANY OTHER COUNTRY I DEEM TO BE UNFRIENDLY TO THE UNITED STATES OR OUR CAUSES.
Certainly he has a right to decide to sell the bike to who ever he wants for whatever reason. However, I reserve the right to shake my head at him and think he's kinda an idiot.

Is it inconcievable to him that someone in France might actually agree with him and want his chopper? Does he think he is depriving Germany by denying them access to his machine? Is he doing it so his buddies will buy him a beer for 'standing up for America?' I kinda wish I wasn't strapped for cash (which is the norm for me) so I could buy it, thus undermining his edict.

Best part is that the chopper is made from a European bike, though I grant that England is 'along for the ride.' Ah well. Hi world-we have assholes and idiots, too. I'm sure you have them as well, so I hope you'll understand...

Yeah, I've seen other people on eBay do that as well. Shame Capitalism is being thrown aside for vendettas that mean absolutely nothing in society today.

Stupidity is still legal, for better or worse. On the other hand, you have to consider the image sent by a guy who apparenty can't tell the difference between a motorcycle and a helicopter.

This is where theoretically I should be, and I guess I would have to be, behind this. I feel that 'capitalism' should be fetered by a sense of responsability (I mean, look at my signature...). In order to have that notion then I have to accept that one of the possible outcomes is this, which is why I don't condemn this rather than suggest that it is stupid-which is a little different...
