Hello. I'm a Taoist. Have you read the TaoDeJing?

http://www.chinapage.com/laotze.html

Read it and see what you think. Like it or hate it, it really doesn't matter. See, nowhere near as bad as the Jehova's Witnesses.

There's a girl in one of my classes who's Taoist.

She's pretty cute. On the trip to the Buddhist Temple, we pretty much just hung around each other the whole time. Bonus points for you guys.

.....

That's really all I know on the subject :D

(for the record, this is how I deal with Jehovahs as well :p. "Hmm, there was a Jehovah's Witness in my class last year, but she really wasn't that cute, and she was kinda bitchy. Sorry man, points against you I'm afraid")

Well that's nice but this is about Taoism. And Chinese food rocks. Especially rainbow beef

Taoism is the best 'cause it's so damn easy to be one. I love taoism! I'd call myself a taoist, but I'm just too damn lazy. That and I've thrown my towel in with Eris :D

One of my favourite poems.
A strand of thought and being well worth taking on board.
But I wouldn't describe myself as a Taoist because it doesn't, for me, deal sufficiently with the world as it is.
I think that's evidenced by the popular practice of Taoism, which invokes rituals and magic.

I thought that was Paganism?

Actually it only involves some rituals and "magic" is about chi. The life source of all things. It's not "magic"
