Only half as much as Bush, besides at least Kerry feels he has a duty to this country. Where was Bush during Vietnam?

Not really, obviously you don't know what kerry was doing during the Vietnam war or you wouldn't be saying that. Just because kerry did a 4 month tour doesn't mean he feels he has a duty. If i'm forced to do community service does it mean i feel a sense of duty to my community?

I still don't understand why we (Americans) have such a well-established university system and so many graduates vote Republican.

Oh right, THEY DON'T ACTUALLY LEARN ANYTHING.
Let me revise that to: I don't understand why anyone with an good education can vote Republican.

And Bush isn't?! His whole war campaign has been a lie! He's lied about your economy too! Trust me, I stand outside your country and just watch the economy plummet. My countries dollar rose about 35 cents to your american dollar. And it isn't because my countries buying a lot of stuff, we aren't. All politicians lie, especially ol' Bushy boy.

George washington and Abraham Lincoln didnt

sometime you have to not tell the entire truth, that does not mean you lie.
you dont say anything false you just leave some details out.
it is necessary to leave alot of stuff out because of security reasons. if the president just blabs everything away then our country no longer the security we need.

Actually Lincoln did lie. If you do any amount of research you should know he wasn't as Honest as the American school district lets out. That whole thing about Freeing the slaves, he didn't start saying that until long after the civil war started, and he was more than willing to let them keep slaves. As a matter of fact the last state to allow slavery was Delaware in 1868. Just remember, the winners write the History books.

Hmmm, you obviously only read the cropped and edited version of John Kerry's testimony and ate up every out of context word.

In actual fact, John Kerry accused no one. He related the testimony of 150 anti-war veterans (there is some debate as to whether ALL those men were actually veterans, there can be no arguing that the gross majority were, indeed, veterans,) to Congress. I've never seen anyone provide something that proved otherwise, nor has there ever been a serious attempt to do so. Perhaps you'd like to be the first to actually provide this information?

Why all this hatred for a guy whose main purpose at the time was to end a deeply troublesome and unpopular war earlier?

:headbang: For crying out load! I did not intend to start a Bush -vs- Kerry thread! Here was my thinking: I've noticed that a lot of people were somehow suprised that Bush was re-elected. Apparently, it's some sort of mystery. Considering that both "viable" choices were pretty rotten and my understanding of the level of intellectual honesty among voters, I think the fact that people pay to ostensibly hear artists like Jessica Simpson perform is a much greater mystery.

Anyway, the offer still stands. I've not gotten a satisfactory answer to my request.

I think it's some genetic fascination with dumb blondes. "Newlyweds" and that "Chicken or Fish?" scene would certainly lend credence to that theory.

We could always have a pay-per-view Doubles Deathmatch with the Simpsons and the Minogues.

Well I'm Swed and I hope like the most non american that Kerry would win. But I think mention a very important part that Bush and his campaign folk was very succefull as potraying Kerry as the liar and wobling about the issues. While they pretty well got away from all that Bush said about WMD and things like that before the war and other things like Bush said that he was no nationbuilder in 2000 election. That and the reason that the Bush folk got the voter feel safer with Bush.
Why the manage that is a whole discusion itself that been held a couple of hundred times here. I can just say that my answer would be seemed as anti-bush and anti-america. Even if I like many american but not many of thems politics.

Because as an american citizen
it is my right to vote for anyone
I like on the ballot.

Just as it is your right to vote
for Kerry, Badnarik, Ralph Nader,
David Cobb, Peroutka, or others
on the ballot.

And nobody should name call or
try to insult others for thier choice
in a democracy or republic.

Or name call and try to insult
thier candidate.

Bush was certainly not serving the nation. He was in the coast guard, which you had to be appointed to be in at the time, and the only other problem is that he was AWOL most of the time.

Well Kerry volunteered for Viet Nam and the most dangerous place in Viet Nam, swift boats ring a bell? While Bush was out dodging the draft.

Bush was in the Alabama Air National Guard where he had gotten special treatment and even than was so incapable and so absent all the time he was ejected, but mission accomplished! He dodged the draft!

About the Lincoln thing, thank you, he was a lot like Bush, a lying Republican who changed his stance on the war half way through, although unlike Lincoln Bush will not boost our econemy at the end of this war, and the war will not end, and unfortunately he wont be assassinated, I know these things.

Wow, I wasn't expecting anybody to agree with me on this, because most people are taught that Lincoln was the best person ever. Tis a pity that he won't be assassinated, though
