STOP PRESS....
On Wednesday afternoon, 17th November, Max smashed his way through the current British record for the longest continuous radio broadcast. That record stood at a whopping 72 hours!

Is paranoia setting in?
The intrepid Max Rushden - BBC Radio Cambridgeshire presenter extraordinaire is now into his fourth day of live broadcasting as he attempts to break the world record for the longest ever radio broadcast by an individual DJ - 121 hours without sleep!
Click on the "LISTEN LIVE" button on the right hand side of our homepage to listen to Max's broadcast. He's there 24 hours a day!
Sounding better than ever - and more awake than during his first 24 hours, Mighty Mouth Max has been singing and dancing his way around Cambridge's Grafton Centre since 3pm on Sunday 14th November, and he'll be there until 4pm on Friday 19th November. And yes, it's all in aid of Children in Need!
Even the Prime Minister is listening in! BBC Radio Cambridgeshire has just received a congratulatory email from 10 Downing Street - how exciting is that?

Max gets a good luck cookie!
Overnight, Max entertained band members from Hiding Place, who dropped in just before their gig at the APU's student union. Supporting Rasmus, the band members refused Max's request for an on air duet, claiming they were saving their voices for the gig (they'd probably already heard Max's rasping attempts at singing!).
"So, how did you get your name," asked Max. "Were you inspired by a game of Sardines?"
"Er, no," they replied, "we were just playing a game of hide and seek and the name came to us."
Oh dear, boys. Wrong answer. Max then insisted on a live game of hide and seek around the escalators in the Grafton Centre. "Best bit of broadcasting I've ever done," he was later to claim...
Buoyed up by some new CDs donated by the record store in front of which he's broadcasting, Max's spirits were somewhat lifted, and by Wednesday morning he was on top form - slightly hyper perhaps - but sounding pretty darned good for someone who's only able to grab a couple of minutes of kip at any one time!
Psychologist Sue Quilliams popped along to the Grafton to see Max for the second time since his marathon broadcast began. "So, how am I doing," Max asked?
"Well, I'd say you're pretty much on form to keep going until Friday afternoon," replied Sue. "You're certainly taking longer to answer my questions, but that's to be expected. There's a gap between your brain thinking of a reply and your mouth forming the right words."
"No, I'm always like that," claimed Max. "A bit thick, you see!"

Why not pop along and see Max in the Grafton Centre. He's in front of Virgin Records and BHS and will be there until 4pm on Friday 19th November. This is all in aid of Children in Need, so take along your spare change and help fill the coffers!
You can call Max or send a text on 07834 845471, or add your message at the foot of this page, or send an email to: max.rushden@bbc.co.uk
