Anti-Abortionists

First, you can't be for capital punishment and call yourself pro-life, so just go ahead and call yourself anti-abortionists.

Second, I think that pro-choicers should just concede to the anti-abortionists and start having induced births so we can at least give those fetuses a chance to live. That way we can both win.

What's an induced birth?

Why do you presume everyone who does not support abortions automatically supports capital punishment? What about people who are actually pro-life?

Induced labor, I should have said. I believe it is possible to induce labor in the event of a problem pregnancy.

Sorry, I'm still dumb. What's induced labor?

I did not presume that. I never said that all people who are anti-abortion are for the death penalty. You have put words in my mouth.
Those who do not apply can continue to call themselves pro-life. However, a great deal of people consider themselves pro-life and pro-capital punishment.

Moreover, I don't care, but people get really fired up over a post like this, and the results are great.

You know, there's a word for that right there.

It is used to expedite labor when the mother or baby's health is in danger. As for the procedure I am dreadfully ignorant. Look it up or something. I don't even know if its applicable.

Yeah, I know, the F word. If this gets locked down so be it. You never know maybe some intelligent conversation might come out of it.

OK. Well, I'm all for solutions where everybody wins. But this process still seems like something women would rather avoid. Although it's possibly better than giving birth normally, I find it hard to believe all women would accept it as an alternative to abortion.

I was being sarcastic in the original post. No one would accept it as an alternative to abortion. The fetus would die, and the mother would go through labor for nothing. I just wanted to point out the idiocy of calling abortion murder when the child is obviously a part of the woman's body until she gives birth.

Sure, induced labor at 2 weeks. :p

In any case, the vast majority of anti-abortionists do seem overly enamored with the death penalty.

Actually inducement is more common then you think. Delivery goes past due date so it usually gets induced.

I don't see the value of inducment as it would be best if the child was carried to term. That is if you are speaking on adoption terms....

Ah ha. I see. So you weren't really interested in debating anything. You just wanted to piss off the pro-lifers?

And some of them would like to kill pregnant mothers who want to make an abortion, or the doctors...pro-life in your face... :(

After debating it reasonably many times over, that does begin to seem more fun.

Well, I certainly can't disagree with that...

but eh? Don't they do this only when the mother is in danger or when the baby has died?

You know what pisses me off the most, is when anti-abortionists throw pictures of late-term messy abortions in my face.

Would they like to see pictures of ADULT WOMEN, real daughters, sisters, mothers, dying from botched abortions pre-Roe v. Wade?

Or how about pictures of children who were starved or beaten to death by neglectful parents.

They would just call it a post-abortion.
