The funny thing is he probably grilled that virgin mary on intentionally and has been selling virgin mary grilled cheese sandwiches around his neighborhood for some time. :D

Looks to me like someone put it up there, and then created a bunch of bunk accounts to up the bid.

No, what is happening is a scam. A person has two accounts and voted against the same account to get it really high so no one else will vote. At the last minute he will take one of his bids backs, reseting it so he gets his sandwich for a very low price. That is how Ebay works, very easy to get anything for a low price
