I was wondering if anyone here knew someone that uses the name, Dick?
I have a friend named Richard, but he doesn't go by the shortened version,
Dick. He prefers to be called, Rich.

He got banned because of this (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=374205) thread, and because he reposted it two or three times after it was locked.

I guess it's ambigiously obscene, but he posted it multiple times apparently.

There is a whole level of politics here to which I am blissfully unaware.

Although I can't think of how this was any worse than when gymoor told me I was so stupid he was suprised I could breathe and wished that I would choke on my own vomit.

I'm not getting involved.

Have fun.

I have a friend named Dick.

Richard drives a truck filled with urine (he's a courier for a labratory), tends bar at a Polish club, is a freemason and goes by the nickname of "Egret" -- because he (by his own admission) is a "dirty bird".

Is Richard a Polish name? I've never seen any Polish Dicks before. I'm going to type in Polish Dick into a google search and see who shows up. I suggest that everyone else do the same.

My high school band directer was named Richard Moore. We called him Dick a lot though. Now that is an unfortunate name. Imageine if he called himself Dick, and when filling out a last name first form.

Yes, Richard is of Polish decent.
He drives the urine truck for a lab that does drug tests -- generally to and from the lab and hospitals/clinics/doctor's offices.

You didn't think the doctor actually looked him/herself at that cup of urine you gave up at your last physical, did you? :)

Apparently, I was the only one who got the impression that Sukafitz meant has anybody ever met somebody who goes by Dick.

In that case, after last season, the Chicago Bears canned one as their HC. His name is Dick Jauron.

I'm still searching for that elusive Mr. Richard Head

True story...the former Catholic Bishop of Buffalo NY was the Most Reverend
Edward R. Head, known to the local clergy as "Ed, our head".

I also had a junior high classmate named Curtis Dick, and I knew a Dick family who were quite prominent in Winchester, VA. As for Richards who go by Dick, however, I only knew one.

Can you imagine growing up with that name?
Some parents are terrible to their children, I
think there should be a law which promotes
bad baby names as child abuse.
