Colin Powell was a shill who played poodle for the bush mob so that his son could get a cushy job as head of the FCC, just as the FCC was about to go batshit on the media.

Remember powell's speech of lies to the UN? He's scum. A real man would have resigned long ago.

I really liked Colin Powell. I'm not to happy over the fact that he resigned. He was an exellent politician. I would vote for him as president, but he doesnt want to run. :( I'm just happy they found someone good (but not as good) to replace him.

Powell was the only moderate cabinet member I was aware of, and now there's going to be a more conservative Rice as Secretary of State. Jubilation.

Though Powell was good in his own right. The only really bad thing I remember about him was that he actually thought there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. He did some things that went against his better judgement, like argue America's case for invading Iraq to the U.N., but he didn't have as much of a choice as he'd like, in my opinion.

I'm happy that he left, if only for his reputation in history. However he was the only person in the Bush admin. I liked, so in that respect I'll be sad to see him go, not like they really listened to anything he said

he rolled over and played dead. He should have revealed some of the dirty secrets of the Bushies and been fired in style. However he was better than everyone elsee in that stupid administration. what's the bet Donald rumsfeld is the next to go, now that hte focus is back on Iraq? o and lot's of :mp5: :mp5: :mp5: :mp5: :mp5: with :sniper: too i suppose.

And so did Kerry, Hillary, Bill, Teddy, and .... I think Powell did an outstanding job. I think Condi will do an even better job. In any case, she will do 1,000% better than Albright (or is that All Dim) did. :p

Rumsfeld is a consummate egomaniac and narcissist, he would never leave his position of power.

I think it is a mistake to get rid of the only moderate in the cabinet -- and Ashmoria, Powell has stated categorically that there will be no tell-all book from him.

I'll miss him - the sole voice of reason in the Cabinet
