Stem cells are taken from embryos that have not developed any organs. No brain, liver, bones, skin, etc. These embryos are the leftovers from in-vitro fertilization. They will only be destroyed anyway. What's the harm in using a mass of undiferentiated cells incapable of thought or feeling to cure illness rather than just throwing them away?
