Which Threads Are Most Annoying?

I have long been of the belief that, contrary to popular judgment, everyone is NOT entitled to an opinion (at least not on every subject). So, with that in mind which thread topics do you find most annoying?

1) Debates about the existence of God
2) Another trip on the Abortion Merry-Go-Round
3) “Experts” who want you to “Ask me about…”
4) Liberal vs. Conservative whining
5) “America vs _____” wargaming
6) “If you had a child…” threads from people who probably have never even had sex
7) Not so-veiled attempts to get women to talk about sex
8) Holier-than-thou post asking which threads you hate the most
9) Other (provide example)
10) None - I find all these threads extremely fascinating

Perhaps the prize for the "loser" could be a one month moratorium on that thread topic?

I started the original "If you had a child that....." a whiel ago and it has since been copied several times. The "Ask a" threads I find most annoying because they get off topic the easiest.

I dislike all the threads. I say, get rid of the general threads! To hells with them!

i dislike the I LOVE AMERICA threads/posts not because i dislike the concept of America, nor wish to prohibit reasonable patriotism, but because the type of person saying these things tends to be offensive, both literally and through offensive ignorance. though i may be guilty of this myself... thats by bit.

i hate the gay threads most of all

they are all exactly the same with exactly the same points made over and over with incredible enthusiasm as if it was the first time anyone had ever made the point.

i assume this is why the mods have decided to let certain threads go to huge size. why make everyone start at the beginning all over again?

its a reasonable point... and i dont think a single person has been "converted" to either side, but this is true of all of the "discussion" threads they descend into arguements in which one side produces logical arguments and the other flames, or both flame... the outcome is the same. logical discussion cannot be sustatned here.

YES! How could I have overlooked that one?!?! Stupid of me. Those endless threads in which hetersexuals go over the minutia of gay sex. How annoying, and so revealing about the people most passionate about their postings.

I vote for that one.

How 'bout the ones where uneducated teenage dunderheads spew incoherent, offensive, ungrounded, pitiful statements about our world as a whole at a rate comprable to vomit traveling up an esophagus?

That would have been my pick. Especially when their sources also have articles like "The Pope is a Space Alien" and "Kirstie Alley is Really a Siamese Twin and Oprah is Her Sister". One ace was even translating scripture from an X-rated Bible that his mother had thrown away. :headbang:

Other.... ALL OF THE ABOVE!

Debates about the existence of God He exists not.
Another trip on the Abortion Merry-Go-Round Pro-Choice!
“Experts” who want you to “Ask me about…” Your not an expert. Sit down and shut up.
Liberal vs. Conservative whining Liberal = good, Conservative - good, Religious = bad!
“America vs _____” wargaming [b]Really, who cares. The rest of the world would just get them back.
“If you had a child…” threads from people who probably have never even had sex Enough, really. Who cares what you'd do with your children, as long as you don't beat them.
Not so-veiled attempts to get women to talk about sex Actually never seen this....

hardly an attempt to get women to talk about sex, partial nudity has little to do with sex.

even if there is a topic about sex, whats so bad about it? millions of people are doing it why cant we talk about it?

I cant comment on the other thread you mentioned as I didnt see it

personally I got quite sick of the threads about religion, especially the Christianity vs Atheism threads. As I got sick of being called a heathen and that people would pray for me.

Well at least three people disagree with you.

I myself put this one rather low on the list.
