Does anyone else see how ironic it is that some people worship something that we created (politics) much more than the one that created us? This obviously goes out to every Republican,Democrat or anyone else out there that chooses to label themselves in order to limit (w/ a labels formality)who they truly are.

We as people that created politcs are the only ones that can destroy the evil parts of it. How many people know someone that votes for causes and cadidates that they do not want for their own selfish and greedy reasons? There is only greed and selfishness in politics. All about me,me,me,me. I think the problem lies with the people that take claim to knowing what greed is while they are just as guilty of their own greedy ways as the ones that do not believe in God. Just because you say you understand the 7 sins does not mean you truly understand it when you are being selfish. That is when we are all guilty of commiting them the most.

It's not like there's something special about water that makes it put out a fire. All it does is smother the flame so it doesn't get anymore oxygen to continue the reaction. It's not even that good at it. You could put out a fire with diesel if you had enough.

Are you sure I thought water took the heat away so it not hot enough. Hence why you cant use water on oil thats on fire.

I would agree that involvement to a level that sticks to being real the entire time doesn't = playing into politics. If you think about it, it gets much worse the further from a community you go. At least the politians at the community level are only being fake to the most local issues. The world over politicians are being fake to every single person of that nation. This is not assuming unless every person on this planet thinks alike and I am the only one with a differing view on this planet :)

But to actually think that we try to categorize our own belief system down to one party(label) or even 100 labels, it is absurd to think we would let a country or world of self thinking individuals get away with such a grave mistake. A country or world full of posers is not what I could see as being a qualifying factor to recieving eternal life. Who is going to trust someone that lived a life of lies by fake conformity of someone else's standards (labels,formalities). God already show faith in all of us by allowing life to happen as it does. There is truth in parts of the bible just as you see it talks of dinosuars over 1800 years prior to anyone ever finding any proof they existed. So to say everything the bible states is false is saying that you have lived a partially fake life. How many other books out there can you say that about? Only ones that were true stories (and we all know every one of them include some exaggeration INCLUDING THE BIBLE). But please don't discount the entire book for there is some truth upon it.

No I categorized there Ashmoria :) Thanks for letting me know about it. Some of them people out there worship politics.

its sad to think that anyone would "worship" politics. to expect that level of perfection or even fairness out of anything human is naive. politics is corrupt because PEOPLE are corrupt, as you point out. we push our own best interest and pretend (or delude ourselves) that it is what is best for everyone.

to even mistake the church for god will bring you heartache. the church is a human institution and is thus corrupt (or at least corruptable). bad things WILL be done by the church (we can only work to minimize the number of them and to correct them when they happen)

worship is only for god. when people are involved, we have to keep our eyes open and be ready for when things go wrong.
