We all know who wins the popular vote here, but when it comes down to it, who do you think is the better artist? Paul Simon or Paul McCartney? I think i would have to go with Simon because of his great songwriting, what do you think?

I geuss this probably wasnt the best idea for a politicaly oreinted forum, well this is what i get for trying to take a break from all the arguing and partisanship

McCartney is overrated.

I prefer the stuff McCartney was doing in the 60s (The Beatles) to what Simon was doing then (Simon and Garfunkel). But in their solo careers I way prefer Paul Simon, so I'll vote for him.

I voted for Paul Simon because McCartney really isn't with out John. The Beatles made great music, but Simon is more talented in my opinion than McCartney on his own.

McCartney was excellent as part of the beatles. His hatred of John Lennon drove him to produce excellent work.

Simon improved after knifing Garfunkel in the back, so it all depends which ddecade you are talking about.

Early on McCartney > Simon
