Jeez, I didn't realise it had only been 2 years. I joined in, umm April 04 I think, and with the community that had developed by that time I assumed it was at least 5. Here's to the next year.

Another banner day in the Nation States World! On this day, two years ago this World we’ve come to enjoy called JenniferGovernment Nation States was released for the use of the public and was quickly picked up on by the World of Internet users.
It has evolved over that time into the game we now play, but many in the early times remember the wild days of Invaders who could not be held at bay, as there were no Moderators, no Founders, and no Regional Powers to deal with spammers and griefers. A lot of people have put a lot of work into this system since those early days, either by volunteering long unpaid hours as Moderators, writing up new Issues, bringing forth new Resolutions, creating new roleplaying threads, or building the player created regions and affiliated groups that now cover the Nation States World of 2004. Happy 2nd Birthday Nation States!

Happy Birthday NS!
Let's all reminisce on the glory of the previous year: a slowly dying server, a number of Great Purges, the joy that was Forum 7 (including tantalizing appearances of He Whose Name is Max), and, of course Jolting (and subsequent simultaneous log-on so huge that some thought NS was being DoS'd).
With that, I look forward into a hopeful future for this, the game that has become my life.
Here's to another joyous year!
