Fog of War

I just watched the Robert McNamara documentary Fog of War on HBO last night.

I was amazed by McNamara's intelligence, frankness, and just his general aura.

The way he spoke about his work in the Second World War, and how he worked with statistics based on people. The way he discussed bombing efficiency and the critical thinking in the Kennedy and Johnson administrations were disarmingly informative.

If you haven't seen it, watch it.

It is also very interesting how much of the rhetoric used during the Vietnam War is being used today.

There were a few points when I had to make absolutely sure that it wasn't a picture of Johnson with Bush talking.
