How many threads decrying Ronald Reagan were locked in the day / week after he died?

If you're using this thread to bash Arafat it WILL be locked.

I'm not using it to bash Arafat, just noting the bias.

I never saw one....but then again, Reagan was SUCH a bad man in many eyes of those on the left while the aforementioned man is somehow a saint. ;)

Oh, you mean like the bias that was shown by the mods on election day? Same deal dude!

I agree well done. I do think there is a significant bias among the mods... I mean the mods are great. worship the mods.

I never said anything about election day. I'm just saying on one case, we had a man who died and we had countless threads talking about how he was the "butcher of Latin America" and drove millions of Americans into poverty. Now, with Arafat dead, whatever threads have been made about him with a negative theme have been locked.

I don't know about yall, but anyday someone who encourages terrorism dies, it is a good day.

Seconded. I will note, however, that I do not think there is an intentional bias on the part of any mods. Like everyone else, they are simply not perfect. That's the way the cookie crumbles.
Regardless of his death, this is no reason to be kind or anything.
I wouldn't be surprised that if Sharon died, there would be tons of "Yay hes dead" thread popping up, and no-one stopping them.
We must realize that even if PLO might look like a noble organization on the outside, it does not excuse the fact that Arafat and the PLO were terrorists that supported terrorism.
He has blood on his He has blood on his hands, even more evil then Sharon... Compared to Sharon looking on opposite ends. Sharon is a saint.
Steph regardless of your political views, you must realize that Arafat was an evil man that accomplished next to nothing but murder.
Just because he's dead is no reason for us to respect him.
Are we gonna respect Osama too, when he dies?

I actually agree with you, however it appears the way we mod changed Nov. 2nd 2004. I'm just trying to keep pace with the rest of the mod staff. The American elections seems to have been a speical case for how we had modded in the past. I'm only following what appears to be the new rules. That's all.
