to all allied veterans: You guys rock! :) You gave us the most precious gift imaginable: freedom!

to axis veterans: I bear no grudge against you. How can an individual resist against a whole society? If you fought for your country, not for racist-ideology, then you where just as much a victim of war as the milions of others who died.

second point: do veterans visit this forum? ;)

Well done to ALL American soldiers!

Except those that have brought shame upon us. I've seen quite a few of em on NS. For instance, one that stole a piece of my religon's holiest symbol.

But on a happier note, we all look up to the glorious soldiers!

Here I shall give my respects to all war veterans, including my great uncle who fought in the Battle of the Buldge, and my grandfather

Thanks to the vets, without your efforts we wouldn't be able to do this debating on the forum and elsewhere.

My father's father was Navy in WWII.
My father was a Marine.
My uncle was career Army, from Vietnam through Desert Storm.
My granduncle served in Korea.

My regrets that I was unable to follow in any of their footsteps.
My thanks that they made it largely unnecessary to.
