Wait, we bite Reagan in the ass and mourn Arafat?

I get we all have our opinions, and I get that we claim to give people equality. But seriously, I hear as much bad things about Arafat as I did about Regan. Why am I seeing more "*sob* The leader is dead" for Arafat and more "Well I'm glad he died a slow death" for Reagan?

We could've just as well highlighted that Reagan fought for the Americans against the *cough*diminishing*cough* Soviet threat.

Yeah, I feel bad for the Arafat guy, mmkay? I didn't have a giddy reaction to his death. Nor was my reaction to his death any worse, nor better than my reaction to Reagan's death.

For personal enlightment purposes, why does NS consider Arafat a hero and Reagan an ass?

Ol' Red Ronnie? I got no issue with him. He was a great Communist.

Colodia, I totally agree with your observation... and that's about as much as I'll say on the subject, I don't want to get attack again for defending Reagan.

Wellllll.

It was probably becaue the conservatives were making him sound like he was Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Christ all rolled into one.

I have no opinion on Arafat's death.

However, I think people talk about him because our thing about underdogs.....

Because any large unorganized body will contridict itself?

Really, you have to find one person who danced on Reagan's grave and then mourned Arafat-one person who specificly did that-then ask that person. Asking or accusing the blob is pointless.

It probably has something to do with the fact that Arafat just died, for real I mean, and Reagan's dead ass was on tv for what seemed like forever. I'm sure in time you'll see just as many "Arafat was evil" as "Reagan was Evil" threads.

I thought the law of the friggin jungle was 'Don't bend over when Tarzan is feeling antsy.'

Sorry, but Arafat had the luxury of dying when the worlds eyes were on his efforts for peace. Whereas Reagon died doing nothing that spectacular. Fair? Maybe not. But that's just the way the proverbial cookie crumbles onto the proverbial carpet and grinds into the proverbial pile.

Some people like Arrafat, some people like Reagan

I doubt there are people many who liked them both.

Probably more people here are in the arrafat camp.

You don't see me defending Arafat. I wish Sharon could have died, too though. In my opinion, both sides have been acting like five year olds for quite a while. Maybe that will change now.

Well... it doesn't hurt to wish...

Sometimes it hurts to wish. Like when your genie has a big boat paddle and a no nonsense attitude.

Or like a great line from a movie, "Wish in one hand and shit in the other and see which one get's full faster."
