Thanks. I checked BBC texttv and couldn't find anything. I hope they'll cool down a bit around there. What's the point of burning schools. It's hard to believe those kids would have done anything... :(
Indeed, there's a group of terrorists in a nation, they were attacked by anti-terroism squads last night, but they survived by throwing grenades (3 cops got wounded, two of them seriously.) anti-terrorism squads from around the nation are in the Hague, getting ready to attack them.
This comes in a dangerous week, in which various mosques and islamic schools were burned (most of them failed but this night once succeed) one was bombed, molotovs were thrown into churches, and tonight also there was a fire in a church. This comes after the murder on filmmaker Theo van Gogh, because of a movie he made about woman abuse in the islam (based on a true story, from dutch politician Ayaan Hirsi Ali, who is also threatened by death, along with another dutch politician Geert Wilders.)
I hope this trend doesn't goes through, things are very wierd here, usually you see terrorism on television thousands of kilometres away, but now it's here, Theo van Gogh got murdered two blocks from my school. I can't say that I feel safe anymore.

The departmen store? For some reason I thought it was a small blast til I saw the remains of the building.
We still live in this quite little nest of peace. Last bombs were german...and pretty quiet after that. Still some people are obviously scared about almost anything nowadays. When a tv transmitter in one town lost it's electricity and tv screens went black people jammed the emergency number. EEEK can't see my favourite soap opera! It has to be a terrorist attack! panic! I'll call 112!
Pfff, I didn't saw or hear it happening, I was in a snackbar eating a nice sweet Turkish Pizza when I saw it at television, so me and my friends visited the spot were Theo van Gogh was shot, the situation was quite nasty, since everybody was pissed and I wouldn't have been suprised if riots broke out.
In the Hague, two handgrenades exploded, according to stories there are two people inside. Everybody is afraid that they will blow themselves up, like what happened in Madrid some time ago. Because of the burnins of islamic buildings, islamic organisations have threatened to take action.

A whole wing of a shopping centre (mall) was taken out and glass litterly erupted from the windows of all the buildings near by. i was up by the station at the time (about a half mile away) walking towards the place. Needless to say, that day was cut short.
I'll just hope it will cool down here in the netherlands, I wouldnt like being afraid of getting shot at by muslim extremists when I'm walking on the street, or christian extremists who are shooting at the muslim extremists.
Also they should stop burning those schools down. Im sure those islamic children who go to school there won't grow up to become terrorists... :(... so whats the point of burning those schools? You are only making the muslims angrier and more liable to attack us back.

Hmm... My uncle was in the WTC when it went over-he was there on business. I was upset that day. But now i'm happier.
BTW I still think all of bush's wars were wrong, despite my thirst for revenge.

Well I hope so, but to me it seems that the tension has been building up for quite some time already. Now the situation is ready to explode. I hope Dutch will keep their famous tolerance.

I wonder what they are waiting for? By now there are several hundred cops surrounding the building. They even closed the airspace to a height of 2000 feet, about 700 metres.

Maybe they have (the enemy, who ever they are) too much explosives. I know I would rather wait til they get hungry and tired than just march in not knowing wether they have explosives or not. They could use some gas though...And end up with similar mess than they had in Moskva.

Perhaps.

Well..no. For two reasons. One: They have no hostages that could get hurt. Only the suspected terorrists. And who would be sad about that? I wouldn't.
Two: The Dutch police wouldn't use a still experimental gas.

Yeah I know, Russians revealed their secret "weapon" by using it back then. They certainly didn't know enough about it.
But they could use some ordinary gases? teargas etc? äh, that wouldn't make sense. That wouldn't stop those inside.
I just wonder why I can't find any news about the situation. Only few sentences here and there.

And now it´s over. Two arrests were made. The police is now searching the building for hidden explosives.
Indeed, there have been a number of small riots around the spot between right-extremist youth and north african youth.

And one of the suspects was wounded during a short shootout.
In total there have been made seven arrestments.
I dont remember any more where they were. But thery were all spread out over the country, looks like they are on a large secret society's tail or something
Also Ive found a picture taken by someone's mobile phone of theo van gogh dead... when he was not covered up yet. It's on the internet but I wont place a link, I mean, guess this forum has his limits no?
But it was pretty... horrible... :(
