Despite who got the most votes, it seems someone (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=2026&ncid=2026&e=10&u=/latimests/20041108/ts_latimes/businessgroupsinvestedinracesnowwaitforreturns) always wins no matter what. Money runs politics.

Money will always run a capitalistic democracy. So now we have corporations running the government. That is why democracy requires responsible and strong willed citizens.
If you look there isn't much the corporate level doesn't try to control. They control where you work, what you buy, what limited culture you receive, what you eat, even the quality of the air you breathe. It is up to you to be responsible and live for yourself, it isn't easy to do, and most don't even try.

Money calls the shots right now, but it doesn't have to. You just have to want otherwise, and act accordingly. Don't despair, that is what money (and the mean-hearted people who worship it) feed(s) on.
Break the chain. Unbind your mind.

Definite winners of the Election so far:
1) The Religious Right: With complete Republican domination, their dreams of overturning Roe v Wade, Homosexual Concentration Camps and State-sponsored White Anglo Saxon Protestantism is one step closer to reality.
Forget Alpha Centauri. The Believers are gaining control here on Earth. :D
2) Osama Bin Ladin: Bush's re-election is a bonanza for him, as he can openly declare that America is undeniably out to destroy Islam and Muslims. Recruits will be expected to flood in within the next 4 years along with attacks on America and its few remaining allies.
