The Scrooges struck at Birmingham's famous Bullring .
This is getting silly now.
Political corectness gone to far?
Yeah he was way to early because St Maarten (the best!, he comes on11 november) and his cousin (St Niklaas) still have to come around. But I guess (exept exaptions) that most of the NS people don't know those latest 2 great :) givers.

Unfortunately I am not surprised.
The fact is however, that such exercises are entirely counter-productive in that they are bit-by-bit alienating some of the white majority and causing them to vote for such unadulterated scum as the BNP. Rather than helping ethnic minorities to fit in, they are making such people rather detested and loathed by some people.
This folly needs to stop now, before it is too late.

I am one of his fans but here it is St Maarten (French St Martin), you know y-the centurion that cut his cape in half to give the other half at a poor.
But he is also dressed up as a St Niclas with the high bishop hat (sorry don't know the word for "meiter" in English) and the long beard.
And of course "Zwarte Piet" with his bag in wich he puts the "naughty boys".
Altough, since a few years we have politic correct Saints on the streets with the racial roles changed.
Although the source (the tabloid "Sun") may be a bit sleezy, this does happen, even in America. One American county banned Santa Claus a few years ago. Another banned poinsettias from public schools. An entire state (Minnesota, I believe) banned government workers from wearing red and green. Ironically, America's church-state separation laws only seem to apply to Chritianity and Judaism. In the same Brooklyn school that banned Christmas and Chanukah symbols, Muslim students were given seperate rooms for prayer (and this was shortly after the World Trade Centre and Pentagon attacks). In addition, some of these things are not even religious symbols (unless Santa Claus was the missing fourth wise man who brought Jesus a Poinsettia and red and green baby clothes as gifts).

Politcal correctness gone mad - Santa is part of a Christian tradition (well, sort of), so surely it is more offensive to ban it/him? No-one mentions banning fireworks at Diwali because it's offensive to people who aren't Hindu's or Sikhs

I think that we should stop celebrating Christmas as a christian holiday altogether, as it is offensive to ancient Sumerians. Just as Halloween costumes of gnarled witches are offensive to Wiccans. Christmas celebrations were ripped off from the much older celebrations of the rebirth of Nimrod. I think it should be reclaimed, the red-robed Nimrod should be given back his fearsome weapons, and human sacrifices should be reinstituted.

We should ban christmas lights, easter eggs, and sandles (Jesus wore sandles so wearing sandles would advocate religion)!!!!!!
The plain fact of the matter is that political correctness is getting out of hand. Freedom of religion is guaranteed to people of the United States by our constitution, yet we're going around banning all sorts of religious symbols because we're afraid we might offend a minority. Something wrong with that picture?
There's been such a backlash against Christianity in the past decade or so that I really can't stomach it. Around the holidays, my town hall has a humongous menora(h?) placed outside of it, yet they don't place a Christmas tree beside it because they are afraid the Jews might complain. The only reason my town even has a Christmas tree is because a resident donated a part of his property to plant one there.
It doesn't matter that Santa Claus isn't a religious figure, he's been part of the Christmas tradition for generations. And for those of you who think he's a Coca-Cola marketing figure... the idea of Santa Claus originated in the Netherlands, and spread from there throughout the rest of Europe and the United States.
These idiots who are trying to make everyone equal with political correctness are stripping people of iconography that has been praised for longer than anyone can remember, all in the name of being "fair" to the minorities. Yet, I distinctly remember COMMUNISM, with which the United States was embroiled in a global struggle for 50 years with, embraces the idea of aboloshing religion. Are we becoming too much like our arch-enemy from the second half of the twentieth century?

Maybe he has moved to something harder like LSD in addition to doing crack? Now that we're discussing it, it sure sounds like it. I mean the crack would explain the nose, being able to fit down chimneys (Maybe he pads himself so he looks fat? ), but the elves, or little people for the more politically correct out there, and flying reindeer? Those sound like something you'd accounter with a hallucinogen.
All I can say for sure is this: Santa clean up your act man. You're supposed to be a role model for cripe sakes! Don't let the fame get to you like that! Drugs aren't the answer! ;)
