The Iraqi Insurgency

Bet you thought you were in for a flame war when you entered this thread?

I was just wondering if anyone knew whether any of the perpetrators of the car bombs, suicide bombs, shootings, kidnappings and killings in Iraq have ever been caught?

I've never came across a news story saying that any 'insurgents' have ever been brought to justice. Can anyone help / provide a link?

Well, it is hard to bring them to justice when they are in a smoking hole. ;)

Reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Homer's a food critic and he throws that poisoned eclair at Moleman's food stall and it blows up. Looking at what's left Chief Wiggum says "Phew that was close. Thank God it landed in that smoking crater!"

No evidence for it, but surely the US Forces are spread far too thinly and Iraqi forces are far too incompetant to be able to kill whoever carries out an attack... unless they are waiting on every street corner for someone to carry out an attack.

I think what he means is how can you catch a arrest a suicide bomber when they tend to get blown into little pieces.
