I don't they should be able to marry or have civil unions, but they should be able to have benifits and everything else a marry couple has, and yes I am againest the whole ammending the consititution.

Thank you for clearing that up. I find it much more important then the means by which this thread was created. It was built on a contradiction.

I, and many others - most notably the Presiding Bishop and Primate of the Episcopalian Church of America believe that in bliblical times ther ewas no understanding that homosexuality was a natural orientation and not a choice. "Discreet acts of homosexuality" were condemned in the Bible because they were acts of lust instead of the "love, forgiveness, and grace" of committed same-sex relationships. Homosexuality, as we understand it as an orientation, is not mentioned in the Bible. The Most Rev. Frank Griswold.

Heresy according to you - we each are accorded our own interpretations of the so-called "Holy Word". But, just for clarification, are you saying that the Primate of one of the three major churches in America is a heretic?

If by "utterly sickening" you mean that you find it disgusting, then maybe it is to some people. However I find the idea of my grandparents having sex a bit sickening, but I don't hate them.

If by "wrong" you mean morally unacceptable, then you're mistaken, because homosexuality does not harm anyone, therefore there is nothing wrong with it.
