Who has heard of this government program, and is there anyone who knows more about the US govt use of mind control?

MK Ultra?

Never heard of it, cept if you mean the program is really that one poster by the same name to keep us in fear.

However, I've heard of a Gundam (robotic anime weapon) named MK II (cept I think MK stands for Mark). Maybe that's the government program they mean

Not a big deal. Secret experiments by the CIA injecting LSD in people without their authorization, to try to "control their mind". Mostly a failure. If you want to be conditioned or controled, modern pharmacy can do that :)

LSD to control their mind?

Sounds more like "freeing" it

No the MK is cryptic for mind control. The CIA implemeted this program from about 1950-1970, by apparently taking innocent people and experimenting on them, using LSD and stuff like that.

not to be taken serously... yet. After all, the government has lots of failed experiments. Some even became popular Icons.

Perhaps not to be taken seriously as a viable program, however for those people who were subjected to the experiments it often became a lifetime of other mental problems such as short-term memory problems after their brains had been so chemically abused.

And yes - I knew one of the "subjects" from Montreal. She passed away a few years back - before the CIA finally coughed up their reparations.

Some of these people need to take their meds. Most of it is unfounded conspracy crap. I say this because I need more proof than "THEY ARE AFTER ME!"- which is what appeared on parts of the site.

Try reading the Church Report, (http://www.thirdworldtraveler.com/FBI/Church_Committee_Report.html) the Supreme court decision (http://tis.eh.doe.gov/ohre/roadmap/achre/chap3_4.html) when it came to trial as a crime using the Nuremburg code, not to mention some of the other declassified documents on the subject. (http://www.michael-robinett.com/declass/c000.htm)

Yes some people have blown it out of proportion as to it's success, but it DID happen.

MK Ultra was very real, and I have no reason to suspect our overlords are no longer interested in mind control.

MK Ultra was a real government program.
Hell....they probably have mind control programs to this day.

There's a documentary on TV tomorrow here in England about the US government trying to train soldiers to read people's minds and walk through walls.

I can back Zeppistan up on this one, I used to live in Montreal, and although I didn't know her personally, I knew of the woman he's talking about. There were news documentaries filmed about these experiments and the effect it had on the subjects well over twenty years ago.

I'd heard she'd passed away, I hadn't realised it had gone to court. A dark chapter in Canadian-American relations, would you agree?

Well, there were more than one. In fact, there were over 170 that received damages. I just knew the one, she was my father's secretary for a few years.

Well you can "read" somebody's mind by body language sometimes, but I don't think it's MK Ultra equivalent

Injecting someone with lysergic acid to control their mind. That's a little like trying to control a car by dropping a bomb in front of it.

Sorry, but various soldiers really were dosed up with LSD to study its effects. I'm not sure about using it as a mind control agent, but it was definitely used in various capacities, and not in its original capacity as a psychiatric drug, by the US Govt. From what I recall, I think they were studying its effects as a chemical weapon.

Hey Letila, although I know you are highly cynical of government, doesn't it seem like the chances of developing *real* mind control are somewhere along the lines of a google (one-hundred sets of 000)?

However, there is something the government uses that acts as pseudo-mind control. They inject the interrogee with a special chemical which puts them to sleep, but when they wake up they have no idea they were asleep. So they panick and the interrogators act as if they spilled all the beans already, so they then go and "repeat" what they already said

Well, look theres no REAL way of telling what the govt up to- if people say its all shit- it either could be or that could be what they want you to think. Obviously we cannot really find out what the govts secret services are up to, you can either believe it or not. Personally, i dont even live in the US- i just find it fascinating that i can find literally thousands of pages of the net of people telling me about mind control used in america, and how can that be COMPLETLY unfounded?

The government is involved in 'weird stuff', but I could pretend to be a victim and claim to have a chip in my head.

BTW I have heard about the 'walking through walls' thing. It was in a magazine.

Theres also a sidelight program called, "midnight climax" where the CIA used it on prostitutes. Both were cancelled in the 1970's.

Beyond that the senate said that it was happening in an investigation. So they "might" be trustworthy.
