I'll help you out a bit. A Hamfest is a convention for HAM Radio Operators (I happen to be one). You can discuss the latest HAM advances and events (Or the "good old days"), purchase HAM Radio equipment, or just chat with people who share the same hobby as you. Well, that's what they're meant for. I usuaully just go to buy cheap porn DVD's (When you've got 30,000 50+ year old computer nerds there's a lot of variety).
Anyway, the biggest Hamfest in the world (The Dayton Hamvention) is always rained out. So are almost all the other Hamfests that I go to. It has gotten to be that people joke about Hamfests causing the rain (Hence my opening post about not needing a rain dance).
I made this thead in an attempt to seek out other NS players who are HAM Radio Operators. It's like a secret handshake, others of our kind will easily recognize it. But, since nobody has yet known what the hell I'm talking about, I'm perfectly happy with the random and inane blather that his since taken place.
I find it hard to believe that there isn't one single HAM on here besides me
Am I really the only HAM here?
