Hillary
Why do so many people dislike Hillary Clinton? What did she do wrong?
From my perspective, she is a strong, independent, resourceful person, who has dealt gracefully with private issues that were made very public. As far as I've seen, she's been a good senator.
Why wouldn't she be a good candidate for president?
...reasoned, rational responses please. "that biza7ch 5uxx0rs" and the like really doesn't help answer my question. Thank you.

I just don't see a woman President really being possible right now. Remember back in 2000 Elizabeth Dole tried to run but failed. I'm sure there were many more women that tried to run for President and ended up losing in the Primaries. Also she doesn't really have that charm that Laura Bush have. If Laura Bush ran for President she would win by a landslide. Hillary Clinton just gives off that vibe that she'll tear your head off if you oppose her. I wish we could run Bill Clinton again though. Damn admendment.

Its because most repubicans don't like her husband so they don't like her by association.
women sometimes don't like women in power.
It happen with Martha Stewart. When she went down women in my college tore her down in classes.
Its like people naturally don't like powerful women.
I can't think of any other reason.
Oh I know: Republicans use her as the boogy man. Ask any talk show for the right like Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity. They scare the living daylights out of them.

I've never watched the right-wing demagogues, although I do know they tear her down. Have they ever explained why they think she's so bad? I mean, part of me thinks that they recognize her as a powerful Democratic candidate so they want to get a head start on sliming her. That and she had the gall to actually work in the White House as First Lady. (And what's wrong with that? If Presidents can select their advisors, what's wrong with a President selecting their Significant Other if said person was qualified?)

Because she's ugly, boring, and has no charisma whatsoever. I'm extremely liberal, yet I dislike Hilary.

She's not liked for the following reasons:
1. Hillarycare
2. Rose law firm and Whitewater. Although it was never proved, her reputation was tinted by the whole deal.
3. Going from Hillary Rodham, to Hillary Clinton. to Hillary Rodham Clinton depending upon her husband's popularity in the polls.
4. She is percieved as weak of staying with Bill, even after all her feminism.
5. Those photos of her from the 70's with the hairy legs and ugly glasses.
6. Her friendship with lonnie guinier.
7. Her subsequent abandonment of lonnie guinier
8. Being a Yankees fan. (All of a sudden).
Those are all I can think of right now. Also a lot of people don't agree with her positions on Isreal, gun control, abortion, health care, taxes, etc.
I think it would be funny if she ran in 2008 though. It would be a republican landslide.

Dole and Bush could not run successfully because they are conservatives, thus their core constituencies are sexist pigs. Clinton has no such problems.

Women, according to research, typically vote based on the attractiveness of the Presidential canidates. Why can't men vote the same way if women run? Sexist! :P
However, Togarmah listed most of the reasons for the dislike of her. For Liberals and Conservatives alike.

She got her husband impeached
She's Ugly
She used her Husband to take over this state
She has a membership in the Future World Dictators Club
She's ugly
She looks too much like a man
She refused to accept my honor challenge and therefore has none herself.

Chris Rock said it: "Women, you know your man. You know your man better than he knows himself! You know if you've got the crazy, need a blowjob all the time man. Hillary Clinton put us all in danger. She put the whole country in jeopardy! She is the First Lady and she should be the first person on her knees to suck his d***!"

Exactly what I was going to say :D
I suppose I should have expected that kind of answer.
She's a bloody chameleon, changing her appearance to try and fool the voters in a given territory into considering her one of their own.
As for who's showing down against her? (As it's safe to assume she'll be the favored daughter of the DNC in 2008)
If the thing taking 'natural born' out of the citizenship clause RE: the presidency out of the constitution by some fluke manages to worm its way through both houses and thirty-eight state legislatures by then, we could be facing a Schwarzenegger presidency.
If not, we'll likely be looking to some combination of Giuliani and McCain.

Jeb Bush and Rudy Giuliani. Bush to keep the tradition going, and Giuliani because he's an excellent campaigner and speaker, he's tough, and an all-around cool guy.

There are a few reasons. For one, she comes across as a very power-hungry. When she was First Lady, she had pet projects as big as that failed universal healthcare effort. Then she became Senator of a state she has never lived in.
Also, I am a New Yorker, and she is nothing like our other Senator, Chuck Schumer. Unlike him, she does nothing other than to work on her own image. I think she cares more about that than her job, and sees her job as a steppingstone to whatever's next. If she is elected president, she'll either be our most narsicistic president, or an extremely good actor.

No, he's an iron-fisted totalitarian, so he would go great with a Bush. More compitent than the current one, certainly. He would also go great with that Nazi-scion Schwartzenegger.
