60's plan to demonize Cuba fits 911 like a glove

The recently declassified, Joint Chiefs of Staff, 'Northwoods Project" details timed, staged 'terrorist events' that the US could have perpetraited to lead in a believable fashion to their invading Cuba. Reading it is like reading a rough draft of all of the events (including 911) leading up to this current US/Iraqi 'conflict'. Take a few minutes to read it first, so you can pose informed arguements...
PS please ignore the 'anti-zionist' bent of the page presenting it... the document itself (which links off of 1st 'summary' page), should be able to speak for itself.

zionists arent exactly a good thing. State and religion/race arent a good thing to mix

Holy crap!
I'm going to give conspiracy theorists much more respect in the future. That is some scary stuff. I now have very little doubt that at least some of the "justifications" for war in the Middle East were contrived (though I'm still dubious about the entirety of 9/11 being contrived).

Yeah, the ENTIRETY of the assumption is dubious at best, but it does offer interesting fodder for argument. See, when it comes to conspiracy theorizing, they (the theorists) comb the media, collecting many bits of info that they assemble like a puzzle. Though any Star Trek: Next Gen fans who have seen the episode where the borg crewperson with the hyperfast brain, began doing the same thing with 'actual' pieces of information that 'occurred' during her time on the ship and came up with several plausible, yet HIGHLY contrived and opposing paranoid scenarios that just weren't the case, knows the problems that can present... (ok im a geek)
