Political Capital

Bush says he gained "Political Capital" from this election and plans to use it.

This worries me so badly. He was the most devisive President since Lincoln without this Political Capital. Now that he has it he says he will use it.

Does this mean he will push his conservative agenda even harder instead of reaching out to Kerry voters like he originally said?

Well, the only thing stopping him is impeachment, so as long as he doesn't declare war on the rest of the world, he can get away with anything.

I'm not saying Lincoln was bad. However, the Civil War was sparked primarily by his election.

Hmm . . . if that's true, then one could expect the central US to form its own little nation while the East and West Coasts "unite"
