Let the GOP and Republicans bury themselves!

This has been said all day all over the fourm. This was not my idea, but I want everyone to see this idea. Today Bush says we must "work" together, to come together as a nation. Of course, this ultimatly translate to another "Either your for us, or agaisnt us" type mentality. Why would Bush suddenly want us to work together when in the first four year he has drove us apart? Well I say, NO! I say we should let the GOP and Republicans run themselves into the ground. If I could speak to the Democratic people in the senate and house, I would tell them to vote democratically on the ticket. Do not fillibuster, simply let them screw themselves over. BUT the one major flaw in this, is how far down will this drag the country? Thats the major problem. I say if the Republicans want control of the Leg. and Exec. of the branch, then let them have it. When they run themselves into the ground. I will not have blood on my hands!

People have been saying things like this forever about both parties...You do realize this, right?

Yes, and I think its time it really happens. Because if Bush is really the great man they say he is. He should be able to succeed on his own, without the Democrats backings or help.

My original statement stands against this statement also. You aren't saying anything new. In fact very little on this forum regarding this election is something that hasn't been said before about another election. (ignoring specific names and whatnot, of course. That's just a temporal issue.)

Yes, of course, deepen the divide even further! Polarize as much as you can! That way Bush won't get all the blame.

Frankly, this melodrama strikes me as ridiculous. If Kerry has won, I would've been not happy about it for a while and jokingly would have seceded my room and made it an indepenent country, but all this wailing and gnashing of teeth and talk of moving to Canada or France is over the top.
