As I understand it, there's a long-standing agreement between our two governments that neither country recognizes 'refugees' from either country.

But on a brighter note, according to the article you could be here in 12 months, and be a full citizen in four years total. That's pretty good, I've known Co-op waiting lists that last longer.

Timbits are...doughnut holes. The little bit of doughnut batter left behind is cooked up in little balls and sold by the boxful. Very popular at a chain of coffee/doughnut shops called 'Tim Horton's', hence the name 'timbits'.

He's right about one thing though: we (especially the liberals) are pretty damn rich.. in all likelihood, we would in fact snatch up the limited supply of decent-looking Canadian women, leaving native Canadians to fight over the scraps (French-Canadian broads). ;)
