Texas is not part of the US. Those votes shouldn't count as it is another country!

I wish that was true, then Bush would only be president of Texas and not the rest of the world...oh I mean country!

As someone from the rest of the world, we were given the impression that Kerry was really popular and going to win! I feel so cheated. Oh well, hopefully second time won't be so bad

wow someone (Yuch) made their first post on my thread... and it was in agreement :D shame its probably a puppet :(

Anyhoo yes 'we' lost, Meatopiaa. But I'd rather stand against Bush and lose than stand by him and win. Now I supported Gore. I supported Nader only as the person with a fighting chance against Bush (personally I think Naders just as bad), but I knew he'd get re-elcted. I even wagered a large sum of money on him at a brokers - the stock brokers! Buy hailburton stock! BUY! BUY! BUY! Let right-wing, conservative capitalism fund the revolution!

Which should tell you something about both your news sources and about Americans ( who don't take kindly to other countries who try to influence our elections ).

You shouldn't feel cheated. All the good Democrats voted for Bush, because a vote for Kerry now was a vote against Hillary in 2008.

Let's face facts -- Kerry was originally set up as the sacrificial lamb. He comes from the most left-wing element of the Democratic party. He got lucky enough to ride a wave of anti-Bushism and not pro-Kerryism.

A Kerry victory now would secure Republican control of both Congress and the White House from 2008 to 2016.

Now, a Hillary run in 2008 will be formidable. If you are a Democrat, you should be praying that Bush carries the day.

Darn Straight! The rest of the US is holding us back and dragging us down.

You know, at the risk of being inflammatory toward fellow Americans, I really think they are to a large extent.

Just our oil industry alone, off the coast of Texas, feeds 25%-30% of total US consumption, and the amount of royalties that are paid to the US government is staggering. If Texas were independent and owned that territory we would be doing very well (of course, secession would precipitate a US invasion).

The 2000 Census (if I recall correctly) reported that 4 million people left the Northeast and the bulk of them came to Texas and Florida. If everything were so peachy with their socialist over-taxed ways then why are their people coming here?

I have friends who have lived in the US, Europe and Asia. They almost unanimously agree that though the US News organizations are biased, they are a whole hell of a lot better than the other world news organizations.

Basically the slant to the left of European news is so much more than foxnews to the right in the US that it isn't even funny. The channel to watch they say (as do I) would be CNN or MSNBC. They're good (bias wise, that is, whilst MSNBC sucks in other areas though). So, yeah

you know that haliburton stock has been chopped in half since Bush became president right? If this is how Cheney helps companies he likes, I would hate to see what he does to companies he doesnt like.

first, prove to me that is true. second, havenn't you learned from Enron that a company doesn't have to be doing well for the top dogs to be stinking rich?

Also, California produces 1/3 of the nations food
we have the SEVEN LARGEST ECONOM<Y IN THE WORLD WHEN RANKED AMONG NATIONS

The point? If California were to suceed from the rest of you ignorant, racist, greedy fucks, you would go into major and irreversible financial loss.

Kerry is an idiot.

Where as Bush is a regular Einstein.

Also on the subject of news not one of the news sources I use where expecting Kerry to win by a large margin - all predicted a close run race (and 4% is close) and most, while they SUPPORTED Kerry, expected Bush to be re-elected. Now I can't speak for France etc but the BBC news, Sky News, the British Broadsheets and the Inderpendent and even Socialist Worker all predicted a close run thing. Of these the News papers all (in editorals) expected Bush to win (including Socailist Worker who said people should vote Nader).

Einstein made alot of mistakes. Maybe you should read into his theories. Making up some extra variables to keep himself right w/e....

Let right-wing, conservative capitalism fund the revolution!

Why not? It funds everything else. Rich, indolent Democrats are always tapped when comes taxtime.

In your f**king face George Soros, Michael Moore, Hollywood, and all the other liberal bedwetters.

Let's not forget a personal "Up Yours" to MoveOn and the Guardian. We couldn't have won without ya. :fluffle:

If you are a Democrat, you should be praying that Bush carries the day.

Democrats don't pray. It's against their religion to worship anything other than themselves.

Also, California produces 1/3 of the nations food

...with an economy so screwed up it took a Republican from Austria to fix it.

If there's an epicenter of hypocrisy in the US, it's somewhere in California. Probably close to San Francisco.

Now now, let's not resort to name calling, that just makes you sound as stupid as you believe the people you're insulting to be.
Also, while California provides a great deal of food, it feeds us more crap then any other state as well. Hollywood alone makes it one of the most annoying states in America (providing us with such shining examples of patriotism as Michael Moore). If it were to suceed from us, then oh so many people would start looking at what's really going on, and we could divert resources that we currently spend on bs stuff from there to things that really matter, and the financial gain would be incredable.

Good to know that someone knows Einstein! Personally I'd mention that his IQ was only thought to be 120 as most of his 'invented' variables have paned out (so far).

DAMN! Impunia had to mention the Guardian - right after I was defending British broadsheets... ok they don't count :P

Sorry for putting my feeling about Kerry in so few words. Let me rephrase.

Kerry has the wrong attitude toward foreign relations. It is important that we do not totally alienate them, but we should not cater to their wishes in order to garner their support.

Bush on the other hand has the right idea. He puts America first in the world, as he should as President of the United States. It also doesn't hurt that at the moment we are #1 in the world, and we better try to keep it that way.

It only looked so good for Kerry because he had the press in his back pocket. The entire news and entertainment industry are left-wing liberal fascists.

You are correct about Hilary. But you have to face it. Only the total left is going to vote for her. The majority of the people in this country do not want a woman president...democrat or republican. Hilary may have the balls, but she won't win that election.
