Must... stay.... awake.....

So I have to stay awake for at least 2 more hours until my shower. I've been doing pretty well so far, but I'm feeling myself beginning to fade...

What's the best common household food/drink/chemical I can use to keep myself awake for a few more hours (and, preferably, through the school day as well)? Should I be taking in a constant supply of caffeine? Carbs, protein, fat, salt, hydrogen peroxide?

Help is appreciated.

I suggest you take the sensible option and get some sleep, you daft ape.

Mountain Dew.

Your first main tool is Caffine. Don't use sugar, you'll hit the insulin low afterward and fall over. Lots of Mountain Dew is suggested.

After drinking a good ammount, get some food into your system. Preferably stuff with lots of Protein. Sweedish Meatballs, Bacon, Hamburgers, etc. Protein gives good energy once you're moving, without dropping you like a stone afterward like sugar will.

And finally, start pacing. Keep oving, your body in motion. You don't need to fully exercise, but keeping on your feet, with the other stuff, will help keep you awake unless your body is truely exhausted.

I seem to remember science class telling me that would do more harm than good, seeing as how I would get less than three hours of sleep, which, if I remember correctly, is the REM cycle length? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Plus, no way in hell am I going to miss ANY election updates.

No, actually. As long as you don't enter REM sleep, it would do your body good to take a quick nap. It would refresh yourself and give you a burst of energy. But if you enter REM sleep, which I think is after 3 hours, and then you interrupt that, you will awake groggy and tired and generally sluggish.

So, to recap: Less than 3 hours = good. More than 3 hours, interrupted = bad.

Hmmm. engaging in my hobbies helps... one that takes concentration. I paint Lead Figures so I tend to find the hours pass quickly... even when tired. Also Video games help. Not the puzzle kind but the action type DOOM, any Hack & Slash.

Just picked up Bloodrayne 2.... gonna check it out when I get home.

Here's what you do. Go and get two SoBe No Fear drinks and knock them back. They'll have you doing the wall 'o' death in no time. Believe me. I could drink four Red Bulls with no effect. Two of the No Fears, though, and I was twitching and cleaning house frantically, just to burn off the energy.

Inject dexedrine straight into your eyeballs. Failing that, load up on crack cocaine until your heart pops. You'll most likely be awake - deranged and semi-human, but awake.

Yeah, what he said. Meth, man, meth. But the NoFear things are cheaper. Not by much, but by some.

(psst! 12 nodoz will have you twitching and spazzing out just as easy, dude.)

To follow-up: I phail at boiling eggs. Somehow, what I got out of the whole thing was a huge amount of boiling water and egg all over my stove, and a cracked glass pot cover.

I think I'll have Mommy over to do the cooking from now on.

Thank god no serious injuries... Cooking when tired is not a good thing.

Absolutely. From now on I'll just go with the protein pills.

Whatever you do, stay away from reading books. They'll strain your tired eyes, and make you want to shut them more. Trust me, I'm speaking from expierence! :(

Mastrubate.

A LOT!

It WILL keep you awake. It´s not like your going to fall asleep as long as the "fun" lasts, right?

Well, you´ll maybe feel a little "depleted", but certainly not tired - I don´t feel tired after... 8O

Well, I wasn´t supposed to say that right? And you don´t really wanted to know that as well, right?

So I should stop after 80 minutes huh?

I'll try that... but I'm usually not done then.
