An Interesting Perspective on the Presidential Election...

My school watches a certain news channel specifically for teens and pre-teens called Channel One, and they held a mock election for their viewers.

Anyway, I found the results quite surprising and thought they would be worth posting. This may or may not mean anything, but here it is:

It doesn't mean anything.

First, not a ton of schools get Channel One (I had it). Second, not a lot of kids in those schools pay a ton of attention to Ch1. Third, those that do pay attention don't always care. Fourth, just because they cared doesn't mean they actually voted.

No where on that site do they specify how many people actually voted. In fact, I'm sure it wouldn't that difficult to vote multiple times. I once knew someone who set up a script to vote in some online poll every 30 seconds, and by the time the poll closed, his choice won with like 99.999% of the vote (it wasn't political).

Gonna have to go with you on this one. Some of my worst memories from middle school involve Channel One.

I'm guess there really are teens out there
that can see through John Kerry's bullshit.

George Bush's bullshit is inherently tricksier, making it more difficult to see through. On top of that, a lot of things about Kerry unfortunately make it look like he's bullshitting, even though he isn't.

Nobody ever said it meant anything. And I know that it really isn't that accurate because a lot of my classmates had never heard of John Kerry or even George Bush (sad, I know) so just did eenie, meanie, miny, moe and picked one of them.

Its an unscientific poll and a crappy channel. God I hated that show. Also in 2000 they had Bush winning, but getting the popular vote by a large majority.

Okay...normally I would say "One child left behind," but I think in this case it's "Lots of children left behind."

I don't even remember Channel One's election 2000 coverage. Must be repressed memories or something...

Jeez, and to think some people want to lower the voting age to 16. And Most of them are liberal.
Note: I mean in my area, I don't know if people are trying to change it in other states.
