On my trip in Belgium, I had dinner at my parents place but am now at the party in Brussels.
We had a speach of the Chairmen of the Republicans abroad that endorses Kerry now while he voted Bush in 2000. Like many other Americans that have a brighter view on world politics and have acces to neutral media that give news that can't be seen in the US (just like the US business people that traveled abroad gave the neutral news in the US during Vietnam) he supplies the democrats becaus he finds more republican values in that party (lesser deficit, more secure US, less government spending aso.).
US people here and Belgians, come to the Renaissance Hotel in de "Parnas Straat or if you prefer the French name, after all Brussels is bilingual: Rue de Parnasse" near Shuman place.
All welcome to the party.
The party is great but as a native Belgian, I'd like to see even more Belgians here. Entrence is 5 €. Former US ambassador and lots of celebs are here, best suprise is indeed the non lieu of a Republicans abroad party, since most of them are here :p
